The game the boards actually want to play is Rock, Paper, Scissors - they don't like League
It's not an exaggeration to say the boards (in general) want the game to be decided in champ select.
"I picked an assassin therefore I should be able walk straight into a 6/0/1 adc, eat all their damage, miss every ability and win because I'm an assassin and they're an adc."
"I picked a tank so I should never die to an adc or mage under any circumstances because I'm a tank and not supposed to die ever."
League of Legends is a game of soft counters. You could build full tank on Draven and he'll actually be tanky. But there are other champions that can utilize those same tank stats better and so it's suboptimal (but NOT completely ineffective) on him.
If you want a game that's purely decided by team comps, just play Rock, Paper, Scissors. League isn't the game you're looking for.
