Title. In this pre-season I feel like I have to go tank whenever I'm not going mid or ADC. It just feels like the only way to survive. Any suggestions on who I should be using to dominate games while also having fun?
PLEASE don't suggest Mundo because I find him incredibly dull.

In this current meta of assassins, I'd have to say that Rammus is among the best tanks at the moment.
FrickendaChicken1 votesDon't forget some of the Juggernauts such as Garen that can be build almost full tank. (SOME of the Juggernauts and Bruisers) These guys just don't bring as much cc as a traditional tank, and some even argue that Singed, Shen, Voli, and Amumu shouldn't be thought of as tanks for that same reason. Garen can be added into that Amumu/Shen league of tanks.

EndlessSorcerer1 votesMaokai will always be a solid pick due to his CC, passive (for survivability in teamfights), and his ultimate's damage reduction.
Cho'gath is a versatile pick with a large amount of CC and burst damage. His laning phase is general quite safe too.
Sejuani and Amumu are both quite viable picks in the jungle due to their CC and scaling AoE damage in teamfights.
Gragas seems to have fallen off in popularity, but he's still a good option if used well.
If you want to include fighters, your options increase significantly. In that case, the following are general good options:

I wrote out a bunch of stuff and then Chrome crashed... be happy with this...
seems like just a support, but he is great top because his abilities scale off of his health... meaning there is one VERY special item for you... 
are both champs that are tanky... and surprisingly strong if you give them some AP items.
is good for team initiates because of his solid cc.
has incredible map control if you take

can be a dangerous melee because of the range of his abilities.
just soaks up damage like a BOSS if you build him right... he can literally almost never die.
is tricky because of his AP/AD abilities, but his passive can turn an unfortunate death into a kill.
makes sure that you never tower dive again.
says that if you want to use abilities, they will have to go through his shield.
because he is F***ING ROCK!!!

Also, there are plenty of tank-ish champs who pack a significant punch:
