Hey everyone,

Due to some potential Kayle nerfs on the PBE, I started to really think about Kayle's identity and how/why she has been causing a lot of problems in terms of items and her kit. To be honest, I think a big issue with Kayle is that she is the only champion in the game with one form who can quickly alternate between melee and ranged (excluding Jayce, Nidalee, and Elise due to multiple forms). This means that balancing her becomes quite difficult due her interactions with items.

Also, as a Kayle main, I have found her kit to be growing rather stale and lacking in interaction. In a teamfight, she generally hovers off to the side, trying to stand nearby and auto-attack, while throwing out a random slow to an advancing enemy and a random heal to an ally. Her greatest asset and most exciting interaction is definitely timing her ultimate, but her gameplay overall is quite static.

So, I've come up with some changes that I think will make her not only more exciting to play, but also less frustrating to play against due to her limitations. Please check it out below :).

KAYLE REWORK

NOTE: Kayle is now a ranged champion (see E ability). Passive and W abilities remain unchanged.

Passive: Holy Fervor Kayle’s basic attacks reduce the armor and magic resistance of affected enemy champions by 3% for 5 seconds, stacking up to 5 times for a maximum of 15%.

Q: Heavenly Dash (Dash Range: 450, Cost: 50/55/60/65/70 mana, Cooldown: 14 seconds) -Kayle dashes in target direction using her wings for a burst of speed. -PASSIVE: If Kayle dashes in her Righteous Smite form, her next auto-attack will stun her target for 0.5 seconds. -PASSIVE: If Kayle dashes in her Righteous Fury form, her next auto-attack will slow her target by 25/30/35/40/45% for 1/1.5/2 seconds (based on ultimate rank).

W: **Divine Blessing **(Range: 900, Cost: 60/70/80/90/100 mana, Cooldown: 15 seconds) -Heal: 60/105/150/195/240 (+45% AP) -Bonus Movement Speed: 18/21/24/27/30% (+7% per 100 AP) _**ACTIVE: **_Kayle blesses the target allied champion or herself, healing them and granting them bonus movement speed for 3 seconds.

E: Righteous Smite/Righteous Fury (Range: 300/525, Cost: 0 mana, Cooldown: 6 seconds) (NOTE: Kayle begins the game in Righteous Smite mode) -Channel Time: 0.75 seconds -Smite Bonus Damage: 5/10/15/20/25 (+40% AP) (+20/25/30/35/40% AD) -Fury Splash Magic Damage: 20/30/40/50/60 (+20% AP) (+20/25/30/35/40% AD) ACTIVE: Kayle alternates between imbuing her sword with holy light for single-target damage and burning flames for splash damage. Kayle gains 225 auto-attack range when using her flame sword, and loses 225 auto-attack range switching back to her smite sword.

R: Intervention (Range: 900, Cooldown: 120/100/80 seconds) -Duration: 2/2.5/3 seconds ACTIVE: If Kayle is in her Righteous Smite form, she bathes a target allied champion or herself in holy light, rendering them immune to all damage for a few seconds. ACTIVE: If Kayle is in her Righteous Fury form, she cocoons a target enemy champion in a ball of holy fire, rendering them unable to deal damage for a few seconds.

While I do not agree with every change here I do like the uniqueness which this would bring to Kayle's Kit which is something that I have posted about elsewhere. I like the gameplay elements which this kit would bring to a fight however I think that many people would find it overpowered ( to give a dash to a semi ranged champion.... sacrilege )
