Bans in Twisted Treeline

I understand a lot of people don't play Twisted Treeline, but the 10 ban system was implemented in League because of the vastness of the champion roster, so why has it not been implemented in Treeline? I play with my friends and there are always way more champions that get too powerful way too quickly for some people to deal with. Now I know that it may be that we're not that great, but it's really frustrating to play sometimes because of balance issues on the map because it isn't touched much, so some champions might be way stronger because of the amount of people on the map and some items are/aren't on the map. It seems like applying the 10 ban system would be one of the easiest ways to help balance TT a little more. Now I'm not saying apply the 10 ban system and then don't touch it, I'm just asking what the reasoning is for that, and if there isn't then why not add it in. If it isn't going to be touched because the amount of players that play TT is low then why even have the game mode in the game to start off with??

why has it not been implemented in Treeline?

Current system wouldn't transfer over because one ban per person results in six bans rather than ten. Adjusting the system could work (e.g. 2 bans per captain followed by 1 per person), but that would require Riot to actually spend resources on something besides SR. Unfortunately, Riot has historically tended to ignore everything besides SR.
