I mean if you have to wait that long then a few minutes more wouldn't hurt to get the queue you wanted to play. I think it's dumb that after such a long queue you get a support who wanted to mid but got support and went something like ahri support.

You can't guarentee that you only have a few minutes left in the waiting Q. If the Q is already 20+ minutes, then is it more likely that the Q is between 20-25 minutes long, or more like 40+?
Next problem, The longer you wait, just to get the role you want, the longer everyone else behind you waits. Turn around time on that position would just end up becoming runaway if that happens.
