Lucian needs more range or a buff to his overall kit

I have made a similar post to this in the past, but it just doesn't make sense why Lucian has 500 range. Sivir has the same range but a MUCH stronger kit and an insane teamfighting ultimate. Kog maw also has 500 range but is compensated with his w which increases it significantly and all his skills have extremely high range, along with an insane late game. Lucian just doesn't feel strong enough in this meta. I have been a Lucian main since his release and I have never felt weaker on him than now. This meta is all bruisers top and mid assassins are becoming popular again all these champions can easily jump on to Lucian in teamfights and he cant really kite too well with 500 range. Fiora, Garen, Darius, Irelia, Riven, Yi, Yasuo, they all can get on to Lucian so easily. Yes, I am well aware that these champions give other ads trouble too, but Tristana? Has her w on reset and her ult. Vayne? Invisibility for re position, two second tumble, and condemn. Jinx has so much peel in her kit with her zap, mines, and her crazy aoe range autos in her rocket form. Lucian really needs some form of compensation, as compared to every other ADC he feels far too weak. I apologize if my english/grammar wasn't the best in this post. Please take this post and the many others into consideration Riot because how weak Lucian is in this meta just isn't fair. Thank you

I like the idea of his ult having armor pen. That way a tank can't just soak it up for his team.

Try to 1v1 Lucian with Sivir then talk who is stronger. I see every game Lucian getting "fed" during laning, but he can't carry with his short range. You need to have a strong team and you can cleanup for them, but you can't "carry" from a long range like Jinx, Kog, Twitch, Cait, Trist. One misposition and you die. I guess it's fine - Lucian being strong again is just dumb, I still remember when every game was Lucian vs Caitlyn botlane.

I feel like there's a Lucian and a Losecian. Lucian is when you get an absurd lead in lane: your E-AA-Q-AA combo almost always 100-0s squishyes and you deal nice chunks of damage even to beefier targets. In that case his kit looks good and you can even carry games. Then there's Losecian, that's when you get a slight gold advantage in lane or less than that (you are even or behind): in that case you're outdamaged by basically anyone, your autos merely tickle even the full dmg bruisers in the enemy team. If someone gets a cloth armor or a ruby crystal you can't hope to kill them until 30 min or more. You're only good at shoving lanes, in teamfights and skirmishes you can either offer a weak R or die any time you get in AA range.

I hope he gets those range buffs many of us are asking for in the forumz.

It's part of the reason Vayne is running rampant right now. Lucian cannot keep her in check. Then Riot will gutt her just like Lucian when her kit is perfectly fine.

Lucian has very very substantial burst damage and mobility from both w and e. He is given the range he has for a reason, and if they increase that they will need to decrease his ability damage significantly
