What I believe truly made League more fun

Playing one or two champions over and over again is boring. Today's system is all about one tricking, or only maining a couple champs. If you don't follow that system you are at a disadvantage as your opponents are most likely one tricks and are going to be far more experienced on their champion than you. Doesn't mean you can't play whatever you want and not climb, but you are far more likely to climb if you stick to one or two champions. I found having to play every role much more fun. It seemed as if games had a more diverse champion pool in general, and it made it so everyone actually had to know how to play each role. I think a system that showed your team mates your preferred roles but was more like the old system would make the game more fun as a whole.

False. In previous seasons you could get away with one tricking. Right now, if your champ is out of meta, gl climbing. No, seriously, gl. In order to climb right now, you have to abuse meta picks.

Yea but unfortunately, the better the game gets competitive-wise, the harder it is to play multiple champs.

As champs get more mechanically deep, get higher skill caps, get more complicated and in general more abilities (all good things from a competitive perspective) the better it is to one trick.

Although I think it's possible to play a few champs for one/two positions and do pretty much just as well as one tricking. (because you get a bit of compensation for not losing to your champ being banned, because you have counter-pick ability, and because you can play against/with your main champs well )

You should be prepared for a bunch of onetricks showing up to this thread begging to differ otherwise.

On the other hand, that principle has been a thing for a long time. I thought you would be aware of that, too...
