We live in a patch where you can no longer have the hud you like/prefer. You can no longer have the announcer you have always had. Now you're ears are plagued with YOU'RE RAIDIN THE RIFT ARRG FEEDIN THE FISHES ARGGGH YOU HAVE BEEN MAROONED ARRGGHH YOU HANDS ARE DIRTTYY. You can no longer here the music you once heard, now you have to listen to a bad knockoff soundtrack of Pirates of the Caribbean. Riot, you can make a separate game mode for a special event and have it pirate themed, but when you start messing with things within the core game play of the game that's when you have gone too far. I feel like I'm having this pirate theme shoved down my throat. I know I am not alone in this dark time, and many do not like the hud, the music, or the new announcer. Please have patch 5.15 come early because this is just making the overall league of legends experience so much worse.

I don't like the pirate announcer either, and I'm rather ambivalent about the new HUD, but that's some serious hyperbole, man. Turn down the volume and things will at least get better. Not sure what to tell you about the HUD.

soooooooo you're telling me I should cut myself off some precious information because Riot made some annoying as fuck announcer.

seems legit.

besides, this crap HUD is imo the worst thing they have ever done to their game. in perspective: I've been played LoL for nearly 5 years.

I have been playing for just as long, and the HUD is just fine (in fact, it's better in many respects).

Muting the announcer doesn't deny you information unless you can't read.

And congrats on playing so long. I've been here for seven years, and still nobody cares. The HUD isn't the apocalypse bringer people are making it out to be. It needs improvement, most definitely, especially for the colorblind players. But really, it's not that bad. I'm not fond of it, nor do I hate it, but that's because I took a minute to learn to read it. I then shrunk it down to a size that doesn't get in my way again and got on with my life.

What if you like the current HUD, music, and announcer better than the others? Maybe we're finally OUT of the Dark Times (alas, only for a short while...).

It's temporary. No point in complaining about the announcer. As for the HUD, i'm not fond of it, but I am adjusting to it. I do think it needs to be larger for visibility.
