Stop complaining about your Rank.

The entire premise behind the MMR system is flawed and only in place to keep you grinding away for a years length to get next to nowhere. Time = $.

MMR is nice in Normals, but in Ranked it should be in it's purest form; Win/Loss. The guy that has the best Win % is clearly the best player in the world and deserves Rank 1, especially in Solo Q where he/she would have to compete for that spot with and against good/bad players at the same time. It then falls into a game of RNG of who Q'd up at the same time as you. -- Also, healthier Q times.

Hard Reset MMR was the closest we've seen of pure gameplay in a long fucking time.

Erm?

That's actually entirely wrong in how it should and does work, win % is a highly volatile stat especially if you start using it to balance your matchmaking, since as you're placed against people who also have high win %'s (people who are closer to your level of skill, supposedly, although in practical application probably not) your win rate will naturally decrease as you start running up against tougher challenges, and while it might find an equilibrium somewhere, it's no more likely to be a true measure of your skill than an MMR system. An ELO rating system (what MMR functionally is) is better for sorting out the best players in cases with a large sample size of both players and games.

It's all very technical and I don't feel like going into the nitty-gritty of it, but here's a link if you want to know more: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elo_rating_system
