I just played a game around silver/gold elo. I had a master yi top. We were versus 5 AD champions. He rushes hexdrinker and tiamat. So yeah, thanks for the bronze V teammate in gold. Really good call. He got ultra stomped and we lost the game. Oh, I also had an unranked jungle. He got ultra stomped too. Basically I just lost LP 100% because of moron roulette.
There has to be a better way to place these people.
"Rushed a hexdrinker" is pretty disingenuous, he built it at 26 minutes in. Yes it is still a poor decision, but let's not exaggerate (your jungle wasn't unranked either). The Yi won his first 3 games and lost 1, the enemy Renekton won his first 2 and lost 1. In the eyes of matchmaking these players are both ~mid-high silver which is the average elo of the game you talked about.

becuase unranked == silver elo, by default. thats where placements MMR starts.
The enemy team also had an unranked. I think they do that in purpose...putting a placement player on each team. I've seen it a lot where both teams have an unranked. He was 5/6/5 with 6.6/m cs...that's not stomped. Looks like your cass and rengo were bigger problems.
Dunno, maybe because everyone is placed in silver?
This is the biggest problem in low elo ranked. Getting unranked people is the WORST!
I have them so often i stopped even checking.
Once upon a time I had Tristana with Teleport+heal... Was a fun game.
Anyone wants to duo? I never feed and have 36% win ratio...
Because unranked players are basically silver 1 mmr......not sure why people don't get that
