Double jungle?

I think double jungle might be a viable way to play the game next season. The changes to jg specify that you can have level 3 after Big camp, Buff, Any camp. This means that if you set a jungler up on either side of the jungle on the buffs you can capitalize on those sweet new dragons and the Herald, while also letting your laners who are all solo laning gain the most XP they can. With the nerf to duo laner experience it's possible that a duo lane could fall behind pretty hard to a solo by means of just hitting level 2 and 3 first and forcing them back. We're not entirely sure by how much the duo lane will be behind due to the lack of information, but if it's anything sizable the solo laner can capitalize on their level 3 or level 6. Plus there will be constant jungle attention on either side of the map just by numbers alone.

It'll be tough at first and you'll need decent coordination but I feel like it's something you can pull of with a group of friends. Try it out when the preseason patch drops it might work out

I highly doubt it. The ADC/supp meta began because ADCs need items, whereas something like a mage scales hard in the early game off of levels. Giving an ADC more levels is going to have much less of an impact than an ADC who has a support next to them allowing them to farm.

So, let's say one side double jungles and the other side has a standard bot lane. Even at a discrepancy of level 4 to 6, if the CS difference is in the ballpark of 30, the gold value between an ADC scaling from levels vs items will be completely negated.

This could potentially work with an ADC who can farm safely from a range solo, like say Ezreal....but it's not going to be common practice.

The situation is compounded even farther when you make the jungle ganks weaker by reducing their levels, making them take longer to get to level 6, and completely shaft the support by not allowing them to have a gold generation item effectively.

I think it’s more likely that supports with strong level 3s like Leona and Sejuani will begin to take Smite and a jungle item, rush through bot side jungle and return to bot lane until the jungle respawns. It’ll depend on how effective the new support items are. I do know that some top laners like cho’gath sometimes prefer smite so they can get the jungle item passives and with the updated jungle xp from Gromp they can also get an early level over their laners.
