Killing Nexus gives 50 gold?
Why does killing the Nexus award 50 gold? How would this ever be useful. Riot please, I need answers.

That 50 gold can win you the game.
It adds to your end game gold count.
Can you even read? There even is a freaking hint to tell you why.

Is easier to code that way.... why 50 thou is weird, normally it will be 1 just not to leave the field empty
it's pretty much just so you can say your the one who got the killing blow on it. it could have been +200000 gold and had the same effect but i think they chose 50 becuase it doesn't skew the endgame stats, and seeing something like +1 would really as exciting as +50
