Buff AP Kogmaw, or make him full AD

Seriously, kogmaw is not viable as an ADC right now, and honestly it was always his least fun iteration. How about instead we buff his ap ratios on his base abilities and remove the execute from his ult and give it back a slight range buff, real AP ratios and base damage?

If you still want kogmaw to be a viable auto-attacker then make more AP items that buff the nashor's tooth AP on-hit playstyle, don't punish kogmaw just because people whine about his range and spammability, there are more than enough ultra mobile champs in league that artillery platform kogmaw shouldn't be that much of a threat to them. Kogmaw is quite possibly the least mobile champion in the game right now, he deserves a playstyle that lessens that weakness.

Alternatively, give him straight AD ratios across the board and make his void ooze last longer and give him a move speed buff while he's on it so he has some chase. If you were to make him full AD I'd make his playstyle more about applying DoTs with his abiltiies and chasing people down with the HP shred, instead of just having a bunch of upfront damage. Make his Q splash to nearby enemies on hit and give it armor shred over time and his void ooze deal it's damage over time as long as the enemy is standing in it and give him a movement speed roid on his death passive to secure kills. Make his ult do low on hit damage but apply a slow and damage over time, increasing based on missing HP.

Either iteration would make kogmaw way more fun to play, right now despite being one of my favorite champs of all time, he's so weak early he's basically unplayable mid and if a support CCs you, he's dead.

Kog needs some help in one direction or the other, but he needs help regardless.

AP kogmaw has never been fun for the same reason AP janna has never been fun to play against they stack AP and then just insta clear the wave with Q as Janna or E as kogmaw.

Also being bombarded from 1600 range isn't fun, though from the latest releases we can see Riot doesn't really care about that anymore, only fun that matters is the player playing the champion

Once I played against ADC Kog'Maw, maybe a month ago, and he was really badly misplaying in lane. His support managed to keep him from feeding but then all of a sudden he penta'd my entire team, who were otherwise ahead in kills and cs

While I am also a fan of Kog'maw, and I also greatly prefer his ap form over ad, I don't really think he is a healthy champion to just buff right now, not because of his spammable poke, but his long range burst and waveclear.

AP kog right now can deliver something like 800 base damage + 1.4 total ap ratio worth of damage from 1130 range all at once if you do the e-q-r combo, while also having 710 attack range autos that often do over 10% max health damage plus nashors. He also gets some really nasty wave clear starting at level 6. Yes he's immobile, but once he gets going he can deal with most enemies by just sort of exploding them at range, and the e slow means he can actually be somewhat difficult to run down at times. Giving him better ratios and base damage then he has now would make him really stupid to deal with. He really just needs some sort of rework, preferably one that is less stupid than the attack speed doubling version.

Kog'maw just needs a full-on rework at this stage. As an ADC he lacks significant counterplay when he's actually strong, because his entire purpose is just to stand still, maybe move a bit, and auto you to death through % HP mixed damage. His W is seriously a nuke at this stage and yet he's still not viable because of mobility creep. As an AP carry, again, he lacks mobility, as well as being severly outclassed by almost every other AP champion thanks to their superior utility+CC. Kog'maw brings poke to the team, and that's about it. It also doesn't help that his passive just blows overall.

So, I'm thinking, rework his Q into something more useful, nerf W's damage, increase E's cooldown (to something like 24 seconds rank 1) and make it ground opponents and make his ultimate costs less mana at later ranks. They could also possibly look into his passive and give him something like an exoskeleton, so a physical HP shield (a small one) to help with his trading.

At the end of the day, Kog'maw just needs to be more than a stand still and auto bot, as when paired with champs like Lulu it becomes unfun and uninteractive. His problem is his lack of mobility, so instead of pigeon-holing him into being this "I will kill you before you kill me" champion, let's actually give him some options to deal with mobility and burst damage.
