Should I get Graves as a beginner?

This. I really liked Graves gameplay, but he seems like a highend champion. Is good for a beginner player?

He is extremely easy.

On one hand, go ahead. He's got a lot of defensive buffs to let you get away with mistakes, and a lot of damage to punish others.

On the other hand, he's very unique. You're going to learn a lot of bad habits with him if you try to play other marksmen that way. Or if you try to play other bruisers/fighters that way.

So I guess, be sure to be aware of why you're playing him a certain way, but otherwise there's no reason not to play him.

As a beginning player the first thing you should be concerned with is what you find fun. Don't just play a character because they are easy to learn, or because someone told you to play them, play and choose a character you will have fun with.

So, what kind of things do you like playing in other games? When I first started I was actively playing a warrior tank in the original Guild Wars, so I naturally gravitated toward Garen. I've been playing him almost non-stop since season one now and I have no regrets. If you don't have many people who know your playstyle in other games to guide you toward a particular champion in League this can be a good place to start.

Well, I like Zac, because I like unique and challenging characters, and I like being a tank or support, as well as in other games. But I hear he's very difficult for a beginner player.

Another reason why I like Zac is because I hear he's a jungle champion, and I want to learn how to jungle so I can help teammates by ganking, farming mobs, and placing wards, which I enjoy most, even though it's hard to always tell what to do next.

I also enjoy Malphite.

Normally, my way of learning and playing is pick something I enjoy and play it and suck at it until I get good at it. That's how I learned to play the Warden in LotRO, and how I got half-decent playing as an Archer in Chivalry: Medieval Warfare, but lately, I've been taking my friend's advice and trying different champions to learn how to play the game.

Zac can jungle, but he can also go top lane. He's not the best right now, and isn't the simplest champion, but if you have fun playing him those issues will be minimal. Once you start figuring out more advanced parts of the game you'll know how to play a champion who is not at the bottom of the simplicity barrel and can put that knowledge to use.

The same goes for Malphite. You'll run into trouble against some of the easier to pick up champions out there, but Zac and Malphite scale pretty well with your personal knowledge. They have great initiation skills that will get you focusing on when and how you should start a fight, and that alone will massively improve your jungling capability.

Honestly it sounds like you're going to do quite well in this game. Pushing yourself to get through something you're not good at is a great skill to know and will do you well.

Graves is pretty easy as a top laner, which is where he's strongest. He's fine for a beginner.

hes not hard at all. few games and you should be all set. the most mindblowing thing you can do as graves is ult to dash over a wall really. hes one of the easier adcs cuz of how tanky he is. less worry about placement.

I finally gave in and got Zac while he was on an RP sale. I didn't do too good playing as him during a match where I went top against Garen, but then again, I don't know how to build him yet, against Garen, and it seems like Zac's E only does a lot of good for sneak attacks, ganks, and jungle farming.
