Are we going to keep our runes when the new runes system gets implemented?

I wanna buy new runes but I'm not sure if they gonna remove all the old runes or not so It would be a waste of IP or not, does anyone have an answer to this? If they do remove all the runes do we get IP back?

I'm pretty sure Riot would have a riot on their hands if everyone who spent months if not years farming IP for their pages and runes were not compensated if said Runes were removed or drastically changed

Well, runes have been in place for years and tons of people have invested their game time into the system. Even at their worst decision making points, Riot wouldn't screw over millions of people by taking away runes and giving nothing in return.

There's no way to know yet because nobody knows what they'll do with them.

But maybe it happens next year.

If I were them I would use hextech crafting randoms to compensate excessive ip invested in runes.

When dodge runes were removed everyone who had them got an IP refund. My guess is that we'll get the same if some runes get removed. Especially because a player who does not use runes in this game does not exist - they'd fuck themselves over to hell and back if they didn't give any compensation.

If they remove runes you already bought it ,they will refund your ip.Same happened when they removed dodge runes.

I stopped buying them from a few months ago. They will probably scrap it and go to a totally new system. You will get compensated but prob with diminishing returns because they were planning in making the new runes free sorta like current masteries.

Also, as a side note. It was on the survey that they passed to some accounts, you won't get your full value for your runes because that will be throwing a lot of IP for free since new runes won't cost anything.

I don't see why there wouldn't be compensation.
