How does the match making of this game works?

I played a game where I got an unranked support who played first time soraka and the enemy adc is gold, I had to explain to her how to play soraka and what items to buy, how to sweep wards and how to press R in team fights, we lost anyway. Not to mention our Lee Sin did 7k damage in 45 mins.

I'm not shaming but if they get a gold player then I think we should get a gold player too, not 2 newbies right?

How do I climb? I played as positive as I could and I just don't know what to do anymore.

Sounds like that game you are talking about was pretty equal on both sides. Unranked players start with a silver Elo, so it makes sense that they were in that game according to the current system.

I have the same problem, but normally it involves me ganking pre-level 6 and the laner diving... I don't understand people, I have given up on solo-qing, I am always paired with 4-man pre-mades or just a team that dosen't do anything, I go and try to group... no intiate; I go to split push, no pings warning me of the two missing people. I am just done with low-elo player... including myself...
