@Riot when you say you're doing a class update to a class that's struggling immensely right now

People kind of expect that means they'll be improved.

Improved.

As in, not nerfing the majority of their items and randomly nerfing balanced or underperforming champions.

You know, the opposite of what you're doing.

When ADCs got their update, they became the absolute most important class in the game, several of them ended up broken, and overall the result was that most ADCs were playable and pretty good. When Juggernauts got updated you broke the game for a while but ended up with a group of mostly pretty healthy champions. But mages already aren't in a good spot, and this update nerfs most of their items and comes with nerfs to champions like Viktor and Fiddlesticks who already don't benefit from the item changes and aren't in any need of nerfs even now. The items that actually get improved aren't even good on mages, they're good on ap based bruisers like Diana or Elise, and on assassins looking for a tankier build like Ekko. The actual list of items that synergize with champions like Orianna Viktor Syndra Lissandra Xerath etc. basically all get worse.

Tested Xerath on the PBE yesterday, he's perfectly fine right now.

These Syndra changes just make me sad. She's one of the few champs in this game I actually enjoy and Riot's absolutely destroying her playstyle.
