why doesn't cleanse work against WW ult. When did they change that?

I must have missed a patch note somewhere. I took cleanse while on an aram as kalista, and when I seen the WW loading I thought "Well I'm glad I decided on cleanse". I thought perfect cleanse, aa, passive escape. BAM...

Every time he ulted me cleanse went inactive and I couldn't use it. Is that just for WW, or will it do that with malz too?

Any and all suppression will stop any actions (item, summoners, movements, etc) with ONE exception; that being quicksilver / mercurial scimitar.

Urgot, Malz, WW and Skarner all have it. AFAIK its been like this for a LONG time, since cleanse at one point invalidated them completely.

Suppresions in general can't be beaten with the cleanse spell. You need qss or spell shield

cleanse has never worked against the suppression mechanic to my knowledge.

A suppression, by definition, locks champion abilities and summoner spells.

An item will help you break out of that suppression.
