Energy glyphs (Greater Glyph of Scaling Uselessness)

The scaling glyph does not catch up to the regular glyph until level 14 (13.66 rounded). At max rank, the scaling glyph x9 would give 26.01 energy.

Starting at level 14, you'll get about 1.5 extra energy per level over the regular glyph. At level 18, you're getting 6.21 extra energy over the regular glyph.

Completely gimped all game just to get an extra 6 energy at level 18?

I'm still new to the game so have no idea if anyone even uses energy runes, but I was doing some theory crafting with the runes and came across this. No other scaling rune is this useless compared to it's static counter part. Most catch up between level 6-10, and have enough of a bonus after that to at least entertain the idea of using them in a theoretical build.
