For all of your talk of "Toxic" and "Anti-Fun" mechanics to justify nerfs, Blitzcrank still remains.

I would rather kill myself than play against a Blitzcrank as an immobile champion.

Essentially, if Blitzcrank is still open, I can not pick Brand Zyra Veigar Velkoz Orianna Malzahar Cassiopeia with any sense of safety.

But then a grab is an #LCSBIGPLAY so nothing is going to change, right?

Blitzcrank is pretty weak to be honest, especially in higher levels of play. He doesn't fit into many team comps, and is near useless aside from his hook. That being said, yeah, a good blitzcrank will make you want to cry, but Blitzcrank as a champion is not overpowered.

Grab is satisfying to dodge and fun to land. immobile champs are supposed to be immobile, thats the point. I dont see a problem.

"But then a grab is an #LCSBIGPLAY so nothing is going to change, right?" dont be a baby.

Man, remember when complaining about Blitz was the sure sign of a bronze player? How far you've come, Blitz. Viktor is proud.

Your words, "Blitzcrank is pretty weak". Nobody who is pretty weak gets banned in LCS, even once.

When somebody has a high pick rate and win rate, it means that even after facing the champion countless times, the counterplay developed by players is not strong enough to make him win less. This is indicative of a problem.

Sub-ideal, off-meta, or generally weak picks do get banned from time to time in pro play if they're a signature champion of a certain player. Froggen would draw the occasional Anivia ban, ZionSpartan would draw Jax bans like crazy even before Jax was good, and when Reginald was around Karthus had a tendency to get banned. If your research is good you can spot-ban the more unusual picks of a specific player or the thing they've been practicing a lot.

A high pick rate and high win rate could mean there's a problem but it could also mean the strategy is new and most people haven't figured out a counter yet. That's more likely to be the case here.

Meh, I don't mind blitz. You can dodge his hook by sidestepping and if you're well warded blind hooks shouldn't be happening to you.

Besides zhonyas and banshees go a long way vs blitz.

Blitz OP?

Good lord, he's tanky if fed and that hook can be annoying, but long ago I learned to ward the bushes so he can't sit in them to grab me and then use minions as a wonderful shield. I also play Janna, Zyra and Jinx bot lane quite often. With Jinx I use her W and E to zone Blitz out of the bushes when he tries to go into them. With Zyra I use plants and her E With Janna I just send a tornado through the bushes to force him out.

Do I get hooked occasionally, yes, or my ADC does. I remember one game where I kept telling my ADC to stay on the river side of the minions as they kept getting grabbed and I kept having to save them. (I was playing Sona and couldn't really force Blitz out of the bushes, even though I had a ward down and we could see him.)

Blitz isn't an OP champion. He does one thing. He hangs out in the bushes and tries to hook any ADC or support who forgets to watch for him. If you play it right you can get a couple good ganks on him early and then he's not a major factor.

As for him walking up to a midlane mage and getting a quick grab? You either didn't ward, forgot he was on the enemy team or weren't paying attention. Every champ you listed has the ability to prevent the hook from being launched and can shred Blitz unless he's built a lot of Magic Resist, which should have meant that the ADC was shredding him, unless the bot lane fed in which case. there is nothing you can do from midlane except perhaps roam down there early when it was clear that bot lane had problems dealing with Blitz.

Sorry, but he's just annoying. I play Cassiopeia and its junglers I fear, not Blitz's hook.
