Sion Quality of Life Changes

Overall the new sion rework is solid however there are some changes that make him useless in most ranked matches and they need to be looked at.

Q1: Why do i have to stop moving to use this? why not just apply a heavy slow like VI Q perhaps?

Q2: Alternatively make it so sion can flash while charging Q so one could do Flash Q combos with him, given the initial windup time this isn't unreasonable.

W: My only issue here is its hard to read how much hp the shield has left so i can properly detonate it.

R: Why does this lock out summoners like flash? it shuts down otherwise unique gameplay options like sion ulting then flashing over baron pit wall to challenge the enemy teams buff taking, it feels awkward that i cant flash when my enemy can flash to avoid me, or dash.

Flashing: you disable this champions summoners way too much, i understand not being able to use them on death but you shouldn't be locking them out while he is alive as well.

Death passive: The windup on this is too damn long, and slows shut it down way too easily, why not drop the windup time to like .2 seconds and have some sort of soft CC cleanse here?

In summary his Q and R feel so clunky that i'm probably just going to perfect AP sion since W and E still have decent AP ratios, and since Q doesn't do any damage anyways.

40% on both abilities are good ratios? I mean the shield hits kinda hard because of the % health damage, but both abilities had 50% taken of their ratio. I don't think AP Sion is going to be a thing. The ratios just aren't there.

The original AP sion relied pretty much exclusively on the shield, the % hp will probably help get ap sion off his arse.

Full windup Q deals 60 damage per point +180%AD, which is a ridiculous amount of damage at any phase of the game, in addition to applying a knockup, so the balance for it has to be that it's difficult to land properly. Allowing movement during the windup would make positioning for it way too easy, and the ability broken as a whole.

And his ult makes him immune to all disables, with an intended weakness being somewhat limited maneuverability. Flashing over walls while ulting would once again remove a major weakness of an otherwise incredibly powerful ability.

New Sion is very much a champion with clearly defined strengths and weaknesses, and overall I think those are balanced to the point where he is interesting to play as/against without being incredibly powerful or weak.

It takes too much time to wind up to justify being stationary, and i don't want to talk numbers but the slow ratio would be bigger then what Vi has. So in short the risks of Q push down any possible benefits for landing a fully charged Q.

Yes his ult makes him immune to all disables and in exchange for this you can side step his ult, however you are forgetting blowing flash is a cost in and of itself due to no longer having flash. Also i would be fine with ult as it is if they fixed Q and death form.

Yes he has defined strengths + weakness, but the bar is so heavily rigged towards weakness that once you get past the extremely well done voice acting and particles you realize a pretty champion does not necessarily mean its effective.

Sigh, not to mention you don't even play on summoners rift, you only run 3v3's and howling abyss mostly, so you have no objectivity from a standard map standpoint, you also haven't played a single match on live and weren't likely invited to the pbe testing....
