I know it's the "meta" and been here since the beginning basically, but why is it so?
Watching Cowsep stream and learning that if Korean mid laners do not receive the blue buff, they go AFK. This made me wonder why isn't the ADC top lane, so ADC gets all the red buffs and mid laners the blue buffs (Korean style)?
You know only one red buff is topside and one is bottom side?
And the answer is Dragon control. Rift Herald is nice but generally dragons are still better and if you send two people top you won't have Dragon pressure ever.

It has always been that way because of dragon control. ADC needs a solo lane but most ADC's are not great at 1v1's especially when ganks are in the equation. This is why the support camps the ADC's lane making it 2v2. They protect the ADC so the ADC can farm as safe as possible.
