If u gonna nerf olaf because of his synergies with other champions, then just destroy the synergies (if that synergies are op), for example olaf cannot be buffed by ally champions during ragnarok. Because olaf as solo pick, is a average pick.
Anyway, that was the intended counterplay of his new ulti, my opinion is that olaf is k for competitive but riot maybe thinks is a bit op for competitive scene. If they direct nerf a champion with 48-46% win ratio at solo q, this would not end nicely for him
I've never seen an olaf do bad. wether he's on my team or against me, like ever. I truly don't understand why people complain about him. he has insane true damage, insane heal, and a ultimate that grants cc immunity.
Here i was defending him for 2 seasons saying he doesn't need a rework/buff then suddenly people say he is good.
Now with the juggernaut meta coming in i think he finally needs a buff, but that is just me.
Olaf is only good once you master him to a tee. If you mess up, you will call off and be useless. For me, building Pure life steal is the only thing that keeps me alive when I play Olaf ranked. If not, I die so much, and can't even farm without feeding.
Althogh I found that playing intelligently as Olaf counters Darius. Get as much life steal as possible, (Rav, thirster, Bork, youmuus core asap) poke, the q and e to win trades. Always use gurella warfare or you'll die.
If they would just buff the life steal on w, than tank Olaf would be a lottle more viable. I do terrible and die easy as tank olaf.
