Why do people like the tank meta?
What's fun about being steam rolled by a 4k hp tank with assassin damage?

Personally, I like it for the fact you DON'T get steam rolled in 2 seconds by an assassin or ADC.
At least those die after doing it.

Pfffft. Good one.

At least ADCs are trash without items, getting defeated 1v1 against a support.
Outrageous.
Because you can pick anything you want and still make it viable.
With the tank meta...

this is what a tank is
its supposed to do damage and take a lot of damage, otherwise it would be called "metal box"

this is what a tank does
Alright so tanks are supposed to have low mobility too. Juggernauts are way closer to real life tanks.
i doubt there is, ever was or ever will be a "tank meta" in this game
Look at Season 3 and 4 Buddy.
looks like pretty balanced seasons. one support, one marksman, one either mage or assassin midlaner, one duelist or cc heavy jungler and one duelist fighter or a cc tank toplane
Mid-season 5, rise of the cinderhulk?
How unfortunate of you to miss out on that.
how did that define a "tank meta" ? before that, was it a "damage dealer meta" ? all these phrases are so completely meaningless.
Because people are starting to pick more tanks, than just plain ol' assassins especially in the jungle?
It's considered a "tank meta" mainly because they are more commonly picked than non-tanks.
the most frequently picked role in all the seasons is the marksman so isnt it a marksman meta we have since season 1?
I assume youre talking about
correct? just don't feed him and he won't be an assassin tank

These guys have always been tanky and able to do damage, its just the current masteries and items that make them so much "better" at what they do.
Plus, ADCs are still super strong enough to melt them if they can kite them well enough. Its somewhat balanced.
What 4K hp tank has assassin damage? The only one I can think of is Sion, but that's only after like 50+ minutes with
.
To paraphrase Winston Churchill: "Tank is the worst form of meta except for all those other forms that have been tried from time to time."
