Akali's shroud.

I mained Akali last season. Just starting to pick her up again this season. Just wondering if there's anyone else out there who might agree with me here about her W.

You can no longer place it where you want to. I understand the concept of it being placed center to where you are when cast. Because they can't tell which way you jumped to. I really like this new small jump mechanic. It's pretty awesome when against matchups like Lux. However, I find it like, very much worse in a way which I utilitzed it constantly last season. Which is, the AoE slow placement.

Before I could just pop that down to support someone running away. However, now, to do that I would have to run in line to the away path and use it to have the same effect. I dunno, I just wish I could still choose its placement. For instance, old akali, in lane, i could pop that up in front of me in the center of the wave for picking up CS. Now, its just, I can't do that anymore. I'm trying to figure out a way in my head how the new mechanic could be utilized with the old mechanic.

The only Idea I can think of to solution of this, would be like. It could be turned into a 2 part ability, 1st click placement, next click within 0.5 seconds or something would perform the jump. The re-activation mechanic would also conceptually be fluent with the 0.5 second global cooldown as it would be the only ability allowed to be cast in those 0.5 seconds.

Just my thoughts.
