More people would buy ER if it gave 20% cdr

What ER really needs is a weaker version of the same item that builds into itself

Look at Tear, it gives only mana but builds into 2 other items that do the same but better

That's what ER needs

Why hasn't Riot made the mini ER Literally all they would need to do is make a simple item made out of item 1004 or item 3114 and a item 1037 , then have that combine with item 1053 , the hardest part would be making a icon

It's kind of inexcusable

I'd say cut something and give it more mana return. You don't buy it for lifesteal, Bloodthirster has that niche. You buy essence reaver so you can spam abilities or have perma rocket jinx

the mana regen you get from it is very underrated. it is not as bad of an item as people think it is. honestly, if you are in a bad losing lane that you need to sustain up in it is not a bad buy. it is the ultimate sustain item as you will rarely have to back due to having life steal and mana regeneration.

i also think Ie would be bpugh more even more often if it gave 20%cdr and more people would by SV if gave 20%cdr, same with iceborn and WotA, I also think it would be bought more often if it gave 90ad, or 10arppen, or actually some reasonable manasustain...

I don't think it really needs more cdr, it just needs to synergize with other items better. There is no good build path to round out the other 30%

People would buy it more if there was a mini ER that had the mana passive, if it looked like this

80 AD 10% CDR 10 ARMOR PEN MANA PASSIVE

it'd be ad casters like pantheon and talons favorite item, it'd also maybe bring back khazix mid

Essence Reaver or Runeglaive? It's a bad idea either way. Reaver already gives them high sustain for both mana and health, and giving them more cooldown reduction on top of that will overload the item. Besides, that means it just takes two items for an ADC to max out their CDR, and do you REALLY want to do that? Junglers that go for Runeglaive are buying magic damage items, most of which already gives CDR.
