TALON NERF COMPLETE CRAP

its a insanely small tweak but talon NEEDS that silence! its what made it possible for him to burst! without the silence people can just instantly turn around and destroy him! the slow is cool but you have to remember talon is a ASSASSIN he goes in, kills, and gets out. hes not a chaser he doesn't need that slow. The W slow was plenty! without that silence his early mid game is trash and during team fights when he tries to kill a ADC, as i say again, they just turn around and blow him right up! take trist for example. before talon stood a chance fighting her! now? she just ults him and goes to town! a nerf on the silence would be sufficient say 1 second to 0.5 but honestly i main talon, have all 3 skins, and now playing him just honestly sucks. stop nerfing champs that don't need it. Go take a look at Master Yi or Kat or Nidalee. they all are getting pentas in hexakill almost every-game! talon was a champ that if played right was op and if not garbage he didnt need the nerf. PUT THE SILENCE BACK!

He can't counter half of the champs he used to. I kicked a talons butt mid the about a week ago as Nidalee and and kinda felt bad that I was laughing so hard.

Without the silence people can just instantly turn around and destroy him!

That was kind of the point of the nerf.

With silence, you could easily pounce on someone when at a noticeable disadvantage and they couldn't do anything to respond. They can't use summoner spells, can't use abilities, can't use item actives, and if you QWER right away - invisibility grants untargetability to auto-attacks.

Pretty lame, considering Talon just instantly warps behind someone with that 700 range cuthroat (50 more range than Caitlyn's AA). You don't get any warning at all he's coming and can't even take him out in midair, and then he just prevents his target from taking any action.

Horrible for counter-play, as literally the only option available was to crawl around.

Not to say no counter-play means OP, most low-interaction champions in LoL have been kept at lower-than-average power so high-interaction, high counter-play champions see more play. But Riot wants fights to be more about a war on inches where cinimatic swordfight stuff happens in most confrontations and every champion, when played optimally, is capable to turning a fight around. They're not so much about pulling a trigger first.

before talon stood a chance fighting her! now? she just ults him and goes to town!

Invisibility makes you untargetable to all point-click mechanics, like Tristana's auto-attacks and knocback.

Tristana is also one of the most auto-attack reliant, least ability-reliant champions in the entire game. Unless she goes AP. You really have no excuse for no silence screwing you there.

I main Talon so I'll put in my two cents.

Even with the nerf, Talon is still amazingly strong - it's just that it's a great deal more tricky to do well with him. Even before the nerf, Talon wasn't truly made for hit-and-run tactics unlike other assassins due to his weak escape game (though it's still very much viable to do so). With his very punishable but near-instant burst, he was made for one particular purpose: Counterattacking and Capitalizing on the enemy's mistakes. Whether it's poor positioning, being low on health yet out in the open, missing a skillshot, wasting a CC or escape, a good Talon knows how to use even the tiniest window to his advantage. You could argue that the other assassins can do this as well, but Talon's burst, when mastered, is mindblowingly fast, allowing him to take advantage of that window.

That being said, I'll also agree that the removal of silence has crippled Talon in a huge way. A lot of champions he used to counter, he no longer has an answer for them, and in fact they could now easily counter him. Such champs are Katarina (ult to the face), Fizz (trollpole + counter burst = fish food), Vel'koz (knock up then LAZOR), and Kassadin (lolRiftwalk). Although the removal of silence does not spell his end, it certainly crippled his viability a great deal, and he needs a buff of some sort to compensate.

Hmm, it seems his nerf almost made him drop to a 50% winrate in Gold+ games. Can't have him dropping below 50 now can we? All jokes aside, at least you can still pick Talon into a good number of matchups/teamcomps and not feel like a huge liability to your team.
