Taliyah's ult should do damage.

I am not saying this because I feel like she is underpowered. I am saying this because it looks like it should do damage. A bunch of coiling chunks of earth that throw enemies into the sky because it's so forceful feel like they should do damage. Not a crap ton, just some. I feel like it would add a lot to her as a champion. Nice long range, good mobility, a finisher (unless it is dodged because it has a brief channel), a good but risky engage, a nice zoning tool. I am not going to suggest numbers, but it just seems like it should.

The designer has answered this request a few times and I agree with his reasoning.

If the ability can deal damage along with everything else it does, then players will end up holding the ult until the damage portion is useful, yet every other component of the skill is magnitudes more interesting than simple damage.

Seeing its effect on games will be more interesting when players are only thinking about how to best use the interesting parts of the ability without them simply going "oh I'll just save it to snipe a kill that's trying to get away."
