@Riot Really, why is it like this?

I am not concerned for myself, I know what answer I want to chose on the survey, (That I still haven't gotten but have seen posts on it.) My concern is for the people who might insta lock it and not realize that they said.

Honestly, this is a legitimate and honest and whole hearted question.

Why not just ask,

"Do you like Dynamic Queue?" (Not to be confused with champ select)

  • Yes

  • No

So unbiased and one dimensional a banana could figure it out.

Because there would be a ton of players who see that question and ask "what exactly is Dynamic Queue? Is that picking the role you want to play?"

You need to make it clear to the person what you are asking about, so you are sure their answer accuracy reflects their view.

Not everyone is on the board and religiously following Riot news. Just think of the number of people who don't even read patch notes and then are surprised in game when their champion is completely different.

Because dynamic queue is solving a problem they're trying to solve (which is, allowing people to queue up with their friends in ranked), so they want to ask people whether or not the problem is one they want solved or not, rather than ask them about the solution.

I may hate dynamic queue as it exists now for any number of reasons, but still want to queue up with my friends in ranked. The answer to this survey should tell Riot whether or not to continue trying to solve this problem at all.

Coming from a customer service analysis background (from a similar tech company), I'll point out that the question above is not great and actually isn't 1 dimensional. It's entirely open ended and the results could mean anything. It could be a starting point through to more detailed surveying, but obtaining, for example, "60% of people said No" from the above question is pretty useless data on its own for any decision making.

Hey. Bananas can figure a lot of things out. Even they would know DQ is heavily flawed.

Probably because by their original definition, the role select is a component of dynamic queue (the other being the "premade component" -- which is why Rioters refer to it this way), and the boards decided that it only means the premade component. Riot feels the need to specify only the premade part, because you can't ask people if they like two features in one question.

Why not just ask Do you like league of legends? Yes No

Not liking Dynamic Queue =/= Wanting Dynamic Queue removed.

what friends?

Dynamic Queue is a solution to not being able to play with your friends in games. I actually kind of want to see how teambuilder worked/works, because you can say for a fact I want to play lucian right now

Because wording was tricky. Unless person is decent at english and properly read the text, they most likely wont understand what they've been asked and vote for DynaQ even if they are against it.
