I think my cholesterol is up because as a solo person, I need a solo q.

Every goddamn motherfucking piece of shit game I have played for the past 2 months has had a premade in it, on my team or theirs. I can't enjoy this game as a person who would rather queue up solo to test my abilities. Weather the premade is on my team or theirs, it's so fucking dumb. It tips the scales outrageously in favor of the team that has them. I don't like getting stomped, and I don't like easy wins, and I get one of those EVERY FUCKING GAME. Okay... rant over.

Pardon my language folks, but seeing a game I really enjoy piss me off SO much is frustrating.

So Riot, now that I have my composure back, I have a serious question for you.

You say you are doing things to polish the "gaming experience" (which we all know means that you have entirely scraped solo queue), but what are you actually doing? What are some trends you have noticed and what might you be doing to polish them?

Best part is: When YOU get the 4 man premade, they are some derps who just met and thought "hey, we could queue together", no voice check, no plan, no nothing, while the enemy 4 man premade must be some kind of military trained squad, perfectly in synch with each other and with a clear command structure and ready to put their military boots so deep in your butt that you taste the shoe polish

I actually don't see that to be the case. More or less, when I do get a 4 man on my team, I am like, not even relevant.

Lucky for you... I notice this shit most in Heroes of the Stom, because they actually show you whos premade in the loading screen, my last game was hell, 4 man pre in my team, 4 man in the enemy team... Their team was a solid deathball, covering all lanes with deadly ganks and having a clear plan to capture objectives, me team was like "herp derp, how you play this game, oh objective spawns, I get it solo before my team arrives"...

Were you fine with the old duo queue system? Where exactly is this frustrating line of yours drawn?

Riot has been moving away from personal skill and toward team cooperation for years. This is nothing new, and should honestly surprise no one. It was only a matter of time before they did something to change the "solo" experience to match their view of how the game should run.

There are other MOBA and non-moba games out there that allow personal skill to heavily impact a match, so if you don't like what Riot is doing I'd suggest you go look for them. I'm not trying to be mean, I'm just saying Riot has never gone back on a purposeful change of this size and likely won't start doing so here.

Sadly, that mostly means if you win or lose in in the hand of total moroons and which team has the least idiotic premades.

Well, there's only three options that won't leave you feeling frustrated all the time:

  1. Get a premade of your own.
  2. Learn to adapt to premades and tough it out.
  3. Play something else.

A couple of things to note here. While I did favor the old style of play, I asked the question of what Riot is doing to improve the existing system. Secondly, a change like this in a game is fairly... well, huge. Being that League of Legends is in fact a team game, nobody would have had complaints if the game had been released with the current system. People would understand and either accept or reject it, and either get into the game or not. The difference here being that it used to be one way, and now it is much different, alienating the players who fell in love with the game before this change was made.

Welcome to League. Honestly every year feels like a different game, at least up until season 4. Seasons 4 and 5 felt a lot alike.

That's how I'm getting by with the changes; I just treat League as a different game every year. Personally I'd love to play myself some season 3, but I know I can't do that. Unfortunately it's just best to move on.

So by that logic, if I click the icon to play solitaire, and it's free cell, then I should just deal with it?

No thank you, I want to play League of Legends, not League of Luck.

That's not the logic at all. It's more if you click the icon to play solitaire only to learn that solitaire is gone forever and has been officially replaced by free cell.

I don't agree, if team cooperation was supposed to be the epitome of this game, then 5v5's would be the epitome of "ranked" play. The entire DQ system is so incredibly lose it that it, itself, can hardly be said to in any way support this thesis.

On the contrary, the games dev has rather made moves as to seemingly generate as much revenue as possible. That's why the ingame mechanics are being dumbed down, need to appeal to as many casuals as possible. That's why the game is becoming far more causal, even in the "ranked" environment. That's why strategic advantages are being scewered in favour of whoever has the largest or most well organized premade, they simply generate more cash. That's why rewards are being scewered towards people that play with "friends". The list can be made far longer.

If your thesis was true, rewards would be maximised, solely by playing premade with 4 other teammates and season rewards would primarily be massed for organzied 5v5 teams.

But now we don't even have a 5v5 exclusive ranked system.

It's not even a question of winning or losing, statistically you'll lose more than you win out of this (since you are not on the "good" version of premade), but the experience is just wretched either way.

Man, don't even bother being passionate about this game, it just isn't worth it anymore. You think Riot/Tencent gives two ducking cents about this game or community? Think again, it's just a cash cow ready to be milked till the last man leaves. Play some Aram, pawn some bots, keep your cash to yourself, Lawd knows there's enough people willing to shell it out while consistently getting a shittier and shittier product, don't be one of them. I personally won't be letting go of a cent until I see a change I like, which will probably be never again. Whatever.
