Wit's End upgrade: Despair

Edit: updated build path and passive(s).

Hi,

Wit's End has always been an interesting item, which just never quite felt right. With this upgrade from Wit's End to Despair, the item is increasingly focused towards On-hit magic-damage dealers that like to be in the middle of the fight** ie: AP Bruisers**

Despair:

item 3508 (icon filler) [3810g]

item 3091 [2600g] + item 3145 [1200] + [10g]

+30 Magic Resistance +50% AS +50 AP

Unique Passive: Your basic Attacks deal 100% Base AD + 42 (+10% AP) as magic damage in an AoE and steal 5 magic resist for each enemy champion hit by the AoE, stacking upto 5 times. (5x5 MR shred per champion and 5x5 MR buff). Unique Passive: Siphons your primary target of health and mana: restoring 4% missing mana and health while reducing your target's current health and mana by 4% on-hit.

Updating Wit's End: Good idea.

This concept for updating Wit's End: Not a good idea.

It has too many good stats and would have to be either stupidly overpriced or nerfed from the form you have it in. Generally speaking, items shouldn't really have more than 3, maybe 4 different stats and 1 maybe 2 unique passives. There are only a handful of exceptions to this rule but they are much more self integrated and synergistic than this item. in fact, only Trinity force seems to offer more than that amount of stats and passives, and you could argue that that item has been overpowered for a while, only being kept in line by the fact that only a few champs can utilize its stats well.

No. Just no.

However!

I would be interested in seeing some "Legendary" items in the shop. Some can be enormously expensive (to make those really long games interesting) or perhaps have requirements to unlock the ability to purchase them (i.e. have over x cs, get a pentakill, destroy x objectives) some can also be built out of current items like maybe make a SUPER IE/BT/BotRK/TF etc... and then just make them really hard to get so like even getting one in a game is difficult but if you manage to pull off the requirement(s) or actually invest enough gold you get this epic item that isn't seen often.

Like imagine an item like this: item 3078 ULTIMATE TRINITY FORCE Builds from: item 3046 + item 3100 + item 3071 + 1337 Gold Special Build Requirement: Must have blue, red, and baron buff to purchase. (All buffs are consumed once purchased.)

+40 Attack Damage +80 Ability Power +400 Health +250 Mana +50% Attack Speed +35% Critical Strike Chance +10% Movement Speed +20% Cooldown Reduction

UNIQUE Passive: Champion can move through units. UNIQUE Passive: Dealing damage to an enemy champion cleaves them reducing their _Armor and Magic Resistance _by 5% for 6 seconds (stacks up to 6 times, up to 30%) UNIQUE Passive - Spellblade: After using an ability the next basic attack deals bonus _true damage _equal to 200% base attack damage on-hit. (1.5 second cooldown) UNIQUE Passive - Rage: Dealing damage grants 20 movement speed for 2 seconds. Assists on cleaved enemy champions or kills on any unit grant 60 movement speed for 2 seconds instead. This movement speed is halved for ranged champions.

Just a random example, but this gives you some kind of an idea of what I am talking about.

Definitely agree that wit's end biulding into something more would be nice. The AOE magic damage is a nice unique passive, but the amount of raw stats is a bit much. I've always wanted an AS item that granted Armor tho, so I support that bit.

I think you should keep the flat Mr steal as it was. Changing it to %MR is a bit excessive Coupled with Stealing 4% of the targets Health on hit makes it a very powerful lifesteal-esq passive. I think you should get rid of that part all together

The Stealing of mana is a great idea though, I support that totally. Id' like it if you could make it a flat amount that steals more mana based on how little MR the target has.

maybe 5% of your ap or something not 15 %.
