He beat passively playing how is this even fair? This game used to be fun and enjoyable but now it seems to have taken an awful greedy and negligent turn.

Lord Dusteon2 votesHow did you die to Darius as Gnar? Darius's only way to gapclose is to use E, and your E instantly negates his AND has a lower cooldown on a manaless champion. Otherwise, most of his damage is from melee range and you can kite all day with QW. I honestly do not understand how you lost hard to a Darius.

you have a spamable slow, ms buff on your autos and hop to kite and make sure he never even gets in range. and in mega form, gnar beats anyone anyways. if anything makes this game less fun, its champions like gnar.

Lord Dusteon1 votesHe got at LEAST 2 Decimate's (Q's) off; with that build and a rank 5 Q he still only does 478 damage max before armor. He also got what looks like 4+ autoattacks off. Have you tried NOT fighting the purely melee champion in melee? They tend to do good when they can hit you.
Mordid1 votesI was playing gnar and had a full tank counter build against him but with his one sunfire cape he was twice as tanky as big gnar and 3v1 me an ap carry and our adc from the start of the game i couldnt do anything to him by level 5 he was easily tower diving me and by level 6 the game was losr

He gets free pen, does magic and true damage as well. Not sure why you were fighting him, Darius will just win in drawn fights because it means he gets stacks to increase his ult damage and allows him to continue dealing damage you didn't even itemize for. He usually wins against Gnar.

He wasn't tankier, you are simply are ignoring he gets free penetration and deals mixed damage, making your armor not worth as much as you are thinking, in addition to the fact your only item that grants you damage was a black cleaver. Darius wins games against alot of tankier champions because they can't kill him fast enough and he simply just wins by default in a 1v1 situation. If you wanted to win you had to simply help your team and never fight him by yourself.

Wait wait wait... you think you were tanky? Two defensive items? That's standard for any bruiser.
Here's an idea. Gnar has a ranged mode. In this mode, he's very good at kiting. If darius pulls you in somehow, you can just jump away. Otherwise, spam boomerang and kill him with hyper.

Darius gets exactly zero tank stats from his kit. Not a single point of armour, magic resist, or hp.
Mega Gnar has both higher armour than Darius and more health.
He wasn't tankier than you, but the bloodthirster and ravenous hydra might have made it seem like he was.

Where exactly are these imaginary "tank stats"? His passive deals damage, his Q deals damage, the passive on pull gives armor pen, his ult deals true damage. Every ability he has deals (or helps him deal) damage.
