This META vs. Your Favorite META - Would having fun in LOL become your memory?

Since I played this game in season 2, I had many favorite Metas - like during the middle of season 5, or around patch 7.24 - 8.3 ; I also disliked some patch, like the patch after the rework when assassins were strong. However, after the mid-season update of s8, I felt like this game is not that game I used to have fun with before. Before, the METAs used to have a certain champs thats top-tier, and a certain champs thats extremely weak - Example : patch 7.24 Tier 1 champs ....... Tier 2 champs : ..... Tier 3 champs , Tier 4 champs, and so on. In other words, a healthy patch like this has champs evenly distributed each tier, players of every role can find a certain champs that fits his or her role in every tier.

The awful META now (8.13) : Tier 1 champs : ........ NO TIER 2 CHAMPS NO TIER 3 CHAMPS BOTTOM TIER :

Basically, any champ who is early game , have lots of skill base damage, lots of burst (In other words, easy to play) falls in the first tier. All the adcs, and many squishy mages falls in the bottom tier. This eliminated the fun for all players who is interested in playing late game team fight or farming champs. This game is no fun to me now cuz the vast majority of the champs I main falls in that bottom pool.

I miss season 5, season 7 so much .... Or any patch that is not after mid-season s8.
I believe that there is a favorite patch for every player, and I am worried that it will become a memory cuz the LOL balancing team is destorying this game.

the summer of season 3 Singed favourite season was 5 cause riot started to remove abuseable shit and everything was playable and assassins required maining and now in season 8 they are making only assassins abuseable which makes 120 champs not worth picking and we only have 10 bans...

Ghostcrawer believes every champ should be equally balanced. But no game is perfectly balanced. I mean the only way to perfectly balance this game is to delete all the adcs and squishy champs, make this game like a game of burst and early game, just like those moblie apps you find on your phone, which I believe is for little kids.

honestly any patch that's not assassin/juggernaut/burst meta, is my favorite, cause fuck those types of metas.

I often wish I was better in Season 3 so I could've truly abused DFG on Ahri, LB, etc.

My favorite metas are typically mage oriented ones.

Probably seasons 2 & 5 overall, as I feel those seasons had the most champ/build diversity, especially in the jungle. Though, really I miss Dominion. The game just hasn't been the same for me without it.

I also miss old GP, as he was one of my first mains and junglers. He may not have been very strong, but he could essentially play any role pre-rework. Now he's just confined to top lane, which is boring.

I also miss defensive itemization/scaling actually being good.

i miss the ardent meta, games were longer less people died you hardly saw assassins and if u did you had an enchanter on your team to deal w/ them and because you had an ADC utility / late game teams were more common which i enjoy playing against alot more than teams full of bruisers or divers that just do tons of burst rather than DPS.

My two favorite meta's are this one and end of season 6 meta, while my least favorite is ardent sensor meta without a doubt, that shit sucked so much holy, people may bitch about this meta but that was the meta that made me want to uninstall the game because it was simply the most frustrating thing ever.

Lol hasn't been this fun in ages for me, i've had plenty of friends come back to the game in the past few months(they all left during ardent sensor), there are so many different viable strategy's now in the botlane. My friend and I can finally play our old combos like wu-sej, zil-shaco, ryze-lee, in an environment that can accept it and has a good chance of winning.

season 4... good times...

i mean yeah there were th8ing that could use a lot of work then.. and there are certainly thing i would keep that we have now, but if i had to choose now or season 4, and there no no middle ground... i would pick season 4 without you even finishing the question..
