Terrible PING System- Need remodeling
So, originally there were two very useful pings. Target this and warning.
Now there are four.
Let's compare the differences. Originall:
Target this: Allows your teammates to know instantly know to kill or target a tower. Warning: Allows you to know which danger to avoid.
Replacement: Enemy Missing: Ctr+ ping Warning: "Fall back from tower", "Fall back from enemy", "Attack the enemy", "Focus this enemy", "Ignore this guy", " mother truck finish THAT guy". Replacement for Target this is very confusing.
"Assist me" is just another spin-off of Target This. While it may get your teammates attention it still is repeatedly uses as "Warning".
The last one: I don't remember. It's probably not important enough to use or hardly useful.
A "Focus" system with a wider variety needs to be created. While the game HAS evolved in it's mapping, champs/heroes, styles, and nerfs/buffs the ping system has been left to rot for years. Commands such as "Adc Attack this", or "Tank defend me", or a system "HELP ME, I'm dieing" would be a much better improvement than
Danger Danger Danger danger Danger Danger Danger Your pings have been muted Enemy has killed you "MOther Truker! [Insert teammate name] Didn't you see me ping?" "Nah bro, there were like- three other things to do. besides you didn't ping correctly"
I suggest looking for better ways to improve team communication as well as an improved command system. "Save me" "Attack with me" "Avoid this guy" "Attack in this order; 1, 2, 3, 4,5" The numbers being a selective process to which you can target. "Tank for me" "Where's my adc?'
Are much more clear than "Warning, warning, warning, waring tower, warning".
They say if you give a positive suggestion with harsh criticism people will pay attention. This is a repost by the way. I've mentioned this before and it was ignored. Thanks riot. I really appreciate the concern you've given me all these years. Really makes you feel the love given by overworked code monkeys, fun loving designers, and a team of dedicated fans doing most of the work with the art and design concepts. This feeling kinda reminds me of "being ignored".
