These are my thoughts about lane nidalee.

Nidalee has a few problems as a laner.

I love nidalee and I bet you could tell that by my ign. Lately she just feels meh and I decided to play different champions tho I feel because of my experience with the champion i have some say into this matter.

  1. She doesnt have a damage ult, her ult allows her to form swap but thats it. Her ult is not a combat ult which means that needs to get covered by a good pre 6 aka lane bully but when she's an effecient early game mid laner automatically means her early game as a jungler got buffed to.
  2. She is to squishy. This counts for old Nidalee too, however old Nidalee had a way of bypassing this weakness (q spam) hence why her most difficult match ups were kassa/ahri they had multiple ways of getting into her face.
  3. Lack of identity. It used to be this 1 spell nuke champ but obviously zoe has taken that place. So what exactly is her identity in mid lane? heal machine? damage? siege?
  4. Lack of counterplay. In a situation that midalee returns and gets ahead probably means that when u get hit by a spear you are either dead or almost dead combine that with the fact that nidalee can move around the map quickly....

Solutions.

Nidalee's W is very and I mean very unsatisfying for us nidalee players. It cant even kill the smallest kruggs (less then 50 dmg). Tweeks/rework so its good both mid and jungle would be welcomed

for those who are wondering Bushwack 10/20/30/40/50(+5% ap)

5% ap ratio....

Passive: her passive increases her take down (cougar Q) dmg by 40% and refunds 40/50/60/70% of pounce's cooldown (cougar W) but why doesnt it do anything for her E or R its like someone forgot to finish it. Like for example Hunted enemy champions deal 10% less dmg when hit by swipe (cougar E) which makes her less squishy. It also wouldnt effect her jungling 1 v 1 potential since they would have to get hit by her q and nidalee is inherently super squishy so the damage reduction isnt as potent as it would be on the likes of shyvanna/xin.

Few seasons ago nidalee's q dmg got changed from Nidalee ------ spear distane = calculated dmg to Nidalee throws spear fixed dmg. it was pretty well known strategy to throw a spear and pounce back to increase the dmg. Would be nice looking into it again

Her identity should be a utility mage if she became a mid laner if you ask me. Prime example is kalista with her W and E on monsters ( lots of ultility). Should would require some tweeks tho especially on her W.

things that sound crazy but might be worth trying out

her heal + as increase turns into heal + ap increase

Her W does % of current health dmg

Her q cooldown is lowered by 1 sec if she kills an enemy target.

Those were my thoughts about Midalee

Ps: there has been a very annoying nidalee bug for quite awhile now https://www.reddit.com/r/NidaleeMains/comments/86f8jd/flash_max_range_pounce_on_nidalee_is_super/ U can see the extended range/haunted mark but when u press W it gives the normal pounce which fuks the cooldown refund pretty fuking hard

We are trying to see about getting the auto resets back for now. The initial tweet was specifically about top nid we are hoping whatever he has planned is something that will help her out as a top laner. Also making her heal increase her ap doesn't help Ad nidalee at all she doesn't need a change like that.

OMG I would love to get Nidalee back to lane. Though your points can be considered but I'm just reaaaaaaaally looking forward for a day where Nid comes outta the jungle.

The whole "Hunt" rework was perfect for a jungler role but at the cost of other abilities disabling her from being a good lane-pick. Maybe expanding the idea of "Hunt" so that it can be more reliable in lane, not by wishing enemies stepping on invisible/predictable traps or finding an impossible point to land spear in lane without being noticed, unlike as a jungle coming with the element of surprise (and ability to flank).
