Attack Speed creep seems to be a bigger problem than Damage creep...

I've seen many people on the boards discuss the problem of damage creep (the idea that champions base damage stats have been ever increasing), but I think another problem that seems to go unnoticed is what I would call attack speed creep.

I don't think it's just the increase in base damage that is the issue, but this, coupled with more and more Attack Speed items, buffs, passives, that is causing champions to deal massive amounts of damage not only late game, but also throughout as well.

A very good example would be the item Nashor's Tooth, and passives like Jax's (which stacks percentage attack speed, up to 8 times... sounds too ridiculous).

Just something I've been thinking about. Thanks for reading, and let me know what you guys thoughts are on this, as I'm very curious.

What "creep" are you talking about?

item 3115 and Jax have existed since the beginning of LoL

Attack speed increase has fluctiated quite a bit over the course of the game. I was actually able to easily hit AS cap at earlier seasons than I do now.

Plus attack speed is a portion of the damage creep everyone talks about. Single cast large hits aren't the sole offender for making people hate high damage. An AS stacking vayne or twitch also frustrate people due to insane dps potential.
