Have a Connection/Ping Checker in the LoL Client so you know your Speed before going in Game

Hello.

I'm not sure if anyone has already suggested something like this before, but I just thought I would say it. There should be a Connection and/or Ping test option in the actual LoL client that one can use to see if their connection is stable right before starting a match. I think it might be useful, as I know I've sometimes had some connection issues that I wasn't aware of before it was to late, meaning, I was already in game. I know their are connection tests out there that you can take to check your speed, but a quick one in client would be nice to have.

I really hope this is added. I'll be on YouTube loading 720^60 videos just fine, and then I'll try to go into a game, and I laugh for a second because characters lagging around looks hilarious, then I get really stressed because I know I done fked up. :(

  1. Go to Search
  2. Type "cmd" in search bar (or open up command prompt)
  3. Type in "ping 216.52.241.254 -t" (no quotes) and hit enter
  4. Enjoy!

This doesn't take up much if not any memory to run and it goes on infinitely. item 2050 item 2050

ping 104.160.131.1 -n 50

Copy and paste that into CMD. That's your ping.

how about riot creating their own ISP and allowing players of league to subscribe to their isp and be free just like the game and then all the people on league will be using the same ISP and servers.

a ping checker is to hard to implement, and would use to many resources (can you just imagine all the coding) but how about instead we cook up some of those 20 dollar skins in the meantime and while we are at it we might just be working on some more chroma's for you guys.. we know how big of a hit those were.. sincerely riot.

The hextech repair tool can tell you your ping and packet loss.

Ping the server directly from the windows cmd prompt, that gives you an accurate idea of your in game ping.

Please someone do this, so i dont need to go to a custom everytime

going into customs for this has been such a pain, especially when there was the bug that made them time out. unfortunately, we won't get them until the new client at the soonest, but I would LOVE for it to not even be a button, just a little number at the top of the client or something. Just always there, when your chatting with friends... Inqueue... You would see exactly how much it flickered by without having to repeatedly open it or leave your client on that page.
