PSA: Low elo players need to stop copying pros

Just had a game where our kaisa had press the attack and rushed storm razor. I'm pretty sure there was a recent patch that told people that the item was changed and to stop rushing it on adc's. So I asked why she went stormrazor first item instead of Bf + pickax + pickax or Infinity edge. Her reasoning "All the pros are doing it." Jesus Christ.

This mentality really needs to stop. Just because a pro streamer does it or you saw it on LCS/LEC doesn't mean copying them will mean instant success. I've seen so many Adc's with teleport, braums with unsealed spellbook, tahm kenches with a rushed QSS. They don't know why they rush these items, take these keystones, or use these summoner spells but since a good player did this that means it's meta. Silver/Gold Solo queue does not equal pro play or challenger solo queue. So for the love of God stop copying these high elo players. And if you are going to at least know why they get these items. "... because pros do it..." Is not valid reasoning.

Pros build that way for a reason. item 3095 + item 3124 + item 3006 + Fleet Footwork is a perfectly good build. You evolve both Q and E with just those items (with lvl 11 and Doran's Blade). Something which was not possible when they removed Stormrazor from the recommended items, but now is when they buffed the AD and AS one patch later.

You rush it to get Q evolve faster, it's the main build on op.gg and you are just ignorant of the meta. I'm a bit tired when people just say that stuff like that works in high elo because they are challenger. No shit bro, sometimes it might be true but usually I play against players the same level as me and therefore if it's meta it's gonna work. But in this case, it's just the new normal build on kaisa.

"Because a pro did it" has never been a good reason. It is like the Miss Fortune support time.... or Ezreal Jungle.....

Sure it can work in low elo still, but dont do it just because a pro did it. And even those pros have went to a bot game or with friends into a game, or even went to practice tool to see if they can get it to work decently, and how.

I remember once back in S6 my jungler told me he doesn't gank top because a streamer he watches said it's not worth it

I think it's cause they forget the "strategy" part and just try to play normally with stupid builds.

preach, lots of people dont realize that the pros arent doing it just cause, (unless its some sort of thumbnail memery build) they have reasons to build it, and they also dont realize that despite streamers saying things like "lol there is no low elo meta" there IS actually one.

why do you think they always reccomend pubstompers like yi, jax, or darius, and garen? because they do well in low elo. it has its own meta.

tl;dr

it works for pros because their pros. stick to whats best for you.

soo... i start with item 1036 and then get item 2015, but i typically play with the intention of having a fleet footwork path. sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't.

item 3095 + item 3094 + item 3087 + item 3124 + item 3006 + item 3031

i dont typically run lifesteal and instead rely on red buff, skuttle, or a rune to give me healing.
