A not so common trend that Riot follows and I believe shouldn't
That is removing some mechanics from champions. What I mean by that, is that with the zoe nerf she is unable to do a last second increase range on her q
with ult. I have played like 3 or 4 games of her and I am not a massive fun of the champion, but this is not the right direction of nerfs riot should've taken in my opinion. While her nerfs were essential for league's health, nerfing her numbers to some extend or giving her more cooldown on her abilities would have been a better option. Now Riot is doing something similar on the pbe by removing the "unstoppable" mechanic on Ornn's W. I hate tanks. I hate ornn ,for that matter, but the unstoppable part of his kit is what made him interesting and was the most fascinating part of his kit for me. He could just have his Ult cd lowered (which he is additionally getting) along with lower % health damage on W, especially in early game, or even lowering the brittle duration. This trend didn't start recently though. Another example I can think of is Azir. In case some people are unaware, when he got released, hitting his E on a champion knocked them up. I guess that birdman was way too broken and something had to be done about him because there were continuous nerfs on him but he was still 100% pick and ban rate in competitive, but azir was a special instance. I am quite convinced there are other examples of this happening. Generally speaking I believe that nerfs shouldn't remove aspects of a champion just when there is clearly other option to nerf them that is equally as good. I'm really interested to what people think about this topic, because I haven't really seen anyone talk about it.
