Why I stopped playing, and what's strongly different since S2 and earlier.

Hey. I'm going to keep this short, since other people have explained a lot of these concepts better than I have. This isn't a rage "I quit" post, as you can see I haven't played habitually in quite a while now. I'm here to help quantify what many other people might be feeling, and perhaps bring them some level of understanding of their own feelings.

Individual momentum is what used to make league fun for me. It didn't matter what team you got or who was having a bad day. Starting in Season 3 and later, Riot began pushing the game toward a more objective and team oriented experience. While I understand in many contexts this is a good thing, it has completely destroyed my subjective enjoyment of the game. I like to go into video games knowing that my results are going to be completely and totally reflective of my own efforts. League just doesn't offer that any more.

What League offers now is a shadow of that former experience, with most of it being replaced by social skills and strategy memorization. It isn't hard to see why this is a totally different experience, and as such, that is why I no longer have any interest.

you'll probably like dota

League of legends is more strategic then ever actually Thing is if you want strategy you have to be in the top 1-2% of the server

Only thing I dont like about the game is the fact that snowball is to high in this season compared to previous seasons In case someone wonders why: Inhibitor are down for an extra minute Dragon is Ultra relevant and close gaming mechanic now Baron is just a bit more relevant (Though its tankier compared to previous seasons) Tower do like 5 dmg per second

Oh I also hate the fact that ranked seems unfair when any team has afker/Dcer. But they said they have some stuff in plan to fix this

find people to play 3v3 or 5v3 with and it´s all back on your own effort...for playing Solo though i can agree, you just have to accept that the amount of things you can do wis very limited sometimes. I like it though that it really focuses on teamplay and strategy - if you want to go solo it out there´s still dota.

Well you described Ranked SoloQ quiet well but...

League has so many more game modes! xD If you want more individual feedback and possibilities - try teamranked. (Maybe 3v3) If you want some funny games without playing around Dragon timers and objective controll - try Normals. *

  • Last normal Game I played I was Brand Supp had a great funny Game ended up with most DMG dealt most Kill and most Deaths. :P No deep strategy, no Teamcomps, just fun and gameplay! (Bought a Wardstone though - I like vision! xD)

And if you cant have fun playing League - take a break, half year later you probably will be back having more fun than ever before. x'D (At least that's my experience and I´ve played for a long time now as well. ^^)

its rly frustrating to not 1v9 anymore , not even fair . i agree that champ like akali(pre nerfs) / zed are disgusting , i think its ok if they cant totaly 1v5 and baron steal . but for mages its totally team dependant ( junglers and bot lane ) so its not rly rewarding to play mid like s4 . the system became totaly random , its sad to see people climbing diamond from plat with 100 games and then stuck in dia 5 for years because they just got a lucky streak
