What should you do if your support kept getting hooked by thresh/blitz

What should you do if your support kept getting hooked by thresh/blitz? Should I save him or leave him alone... If I save him, I may die with him. If I leave him, I may just get flamed for not helping him. If I tell him to stop getting hook, he may treat it as a negative comment and rage, and get hooked even more.

Btw, the opponent is Draven, which makes it even more frustrating and helpless when you see them feeding Draven stacks while getting hooked frequently. And it's impossible to play against a fed Draven.

Snap judgment call for you. I wouldn't feel comfortable giving you a rule of thumb to go by. Hell, when I play tank supports, sometimes I intentionally get hooked in as a means of engaging!

That said, I'd err on the side of caution. Don't die for the sake of not being flamed. Make a sober and reasoned decision. If your Sona gets hooked in and looks like she's gonna get deleted, you aren't doing your team any favors by dying by her side. But if your Galio gets hooked in and immediately taunts the enemy ADC and starts CCing people, you're a fool if you don't follow up.

Telling him to not get hooked is a tough sell. Being hooked is really bad, everybody knows that, and nobody is going to learn or improve if you just say "don't get hooked". You might say something like "We're screwed if you get hooked, so please stay behind the minion line" or something. That may actually resonate with a player. Advise them, don't admonish them.

if you can get into heal range without dieing yourself, then save him, or if he got hooked for bodyblocking for you then you should try to help him. That being said, if it's his 3rd plus time being hooked then you should leave him to die. That support needs how learn to to dodge or at the very least position themselves so that they don't get hooked.

Use your crowd control to disable the carry, and kite the grappler while your support escapes.

As a support main, I ask those same question in regard to my ADC.

By best advice is ban Blitz/thresh.

In your above scenario, just leave him. It's not worth losing your own life and farm saving his ass. As much as I hate to admit it as a support main, the support can afford to be cannon fodder. (If absolutely necessary)

Same thing when your adc gets repeat hooked.

You lose.

I'm an Ezreal main, so this kinda only works for him and Trist to a lesser extent, but you can set up a freeze near tower and body block the hooks for the support and queue up your E(Or W for Tristana, albeit hers is on a longer cooldown and costs a larger % of mana) to go back into tower and resume farming. Works really well against Thresh because if he double Q's without realizing you E'd back while CCed, he takes tower shots and is a free kill. It's useful against Blitz, too, because he'll run out of mana pretty fast.

Play Kalista, The TahmKench of adc's (at least for her support!)

Edit: In fact, play this duo in lane, Oh ya hooked kallista? Devour, oh ya hooked kench? Fate's call. Lmao
