How are you guys handling Sion as an ADC?

I used a Merc Scimitar to get out of his ult / Q combo, my flash, my dash, and he still trudges through my team mates and kills me.

This has happened in several games now. I haven't tried Blade of the Ruined King, but I have a feeling that it won't be enough to save me? If my team mates try to focus him, then they get raped by the enemy team. I don't know. It feels kind of broken or as if there is extremely limited options for counter-play.

Any ADC with a mobility skill just laughs at Sion and kills him. His ult is really easy to avoid if you just move out of the way. Then you just burn him down. Try to avoid his linear skillshot slow and just kite, his Q takes so long to charge to knock up that you can just walk out of it. I could only really see him being an issue for the no mobility ADCs if you have poor ward coverage so he just busts out of a bush ulting before you can see him. BotRK is also super strong against him.

Really, just practice your kiting and he gets waaaay easier to kill.

Typically I employ a simple bait-and-switch tactic. Most Sion are too slow and too confident in their tankiness to get out of danger once they're in it. If you can play safe until you get some serious dps and he gets bored, then employ the use of your tower, with a team effort Sion goes down pretty easily. Just gotta stay on your toes.

Sion isn't an ADC, and should never be an ADC. Get in the Top Lane.

You are getting out his stun from ult and still getting owned? I tried to think of any character you could be using that this pertains too but came up blank. You are maybe using Mordekaiser and are 10 levels below him.

Maybe the problem lies with ADCs continuing to believe that they alone are the team and should be able to fight anything and everything in a duel?

If a Sion has built nothing but health and armor and your team has a SONA as its entire source of magic damage, no shit you're going to lose. Sometimes it's a different problem where you're building the same items and expecting them to always work, guaranteed.

Of course... if you're up against a Sion in the jungle good friggin' luck. Ain't nobody in soloque for either normal or ranked gonna be counter-jungling to prevent his health farming cuz soloque players have this need to have the best score.

Sounds like someone isn't playing with a competent tank or support honestly.

Any knockback will ruin Sion's day (after he ults of course, but this is assuming you've forced him to use to close the gap in the first place), as with any other low mobility champion. Fact is, there should be someone on your team who should be able to help you get the giant lug off your back - if not, something is going wrong.

Now, I'm not trying to say "you're perfect you ADC and your support sucks, let's blame them" - I'm trying to say communicate with your team and ensure your positioning includes being in a spot where anyone can help you at the drop of a hat. If you're having troubles kiting Sion, ask someone if they can't try to help. One cooldown is worth a lot less than an ADC who's alive and kicking.

Other than that, there are some helpful tips already posted (BotRK especially, since Sion has no movespeed increases outside of dying).

TL;DR - Teammates can and should provide additional peeling for you if necessary, but that's only possible if you're in a spot where they are able to help.
