Is anyone else concerned that everyone will get Homegaurd effect after 20 minutes?...

I believe this change is to help teams make better comebacks, but I am really skeptical of the effect this kind of chance will have on the game. Homegaurd is a usually universally bought upgrade, but there are benefits the other boot upgrades have compared to them, and I don't think just giving everyone the effect is a healthy choice. Risk vs reward is what this game is all about, this freebie just seems a little too generous. What are people's thoughts on this?

The example that comes to mind is an NA LCS fight hat occurred between Cloud 9 and TSM (I believe) where TSM started baron and Cloud 9 strategically all bought homeguard at the same time, allowing them to come in an contest it, but it cost them a lot of gold to do so. With this change, there is no need to worry about speed once you get this, and even backdoor strategies and split pushing will become even more marginal strategies...

Over 90% people build homeguard because it's just so much better than any other enchantment, they could as well just remove the other ones.

This is a great change which they should also apply to Flash making it an innate spell.

the 20 minutes isn't a coincidence it's for comebacks so game length can be extended and more challenging which is nice.

It also allows a different set of boots to be bought for more versatility rather than getting stuck with home guard boots, if that makes sense. Example; Alacrity and home guard instead of just home guard.

So overall it seems like a nice addition.

Wait do you need to have boots to get the effect?

If it becomes and issue all riot has to do is increase death timers.

It's made to help push the game to end quicker.
