Riot is the only company that does this. Seriously. Does Blizzard ban World of Warcraft players for being toxic? Rarely. Very rarely actually. (in comparison to how much Riot bans for swear words the magnitude is actually 60% higher. The game is ONLINE for a REASON. Stop catering to children or adults who can't handle being called on their feeding or bad plays. The average age of of league player Is 30...that's right 30. It's time to let freedom of speech work in the online world of this game.

Now I don't mean calling someone the N-word or something homophobic is ok. That should be banned. Permanently. But calling someone a troll or a noob is now a bannable offense? That's now a chat restrict offense? Grow up. Criticism, even if not constructive, is part of real life. Whether this game wants to admit it or not. If you can't make this a reality then don't make this game online, so you can make it E for Everyone rating ( lol but you can't because its an MMO. THUS stop being so protective of whiners and people who can't handle adult language.)

This is 2017. In an online game. Grow up. Get smart.

Calling someone a "troll" or "noob" once is not bannable. Even twice or three times. If you constantly harass someone all game, it is punishable.

Grow up. Criticism, even if not constructive, is part of real life. Whether this game wants to admit it or not.

A very large portion of League's playerbase is adults. Further, people tend to play League to have fun and forget real life, not to be harassed.

If you can't make this a reality then don't make this game online, so you can make it E for Everyone rating

I don't think it's Riot's job to do anything other than provide the game they do. They understand the T rating, they agree with it to my understanding as the game is based completely on violence. This has absolutely no relation to bans/punishment however.

Just because a game is an online game does not give you the right to harass or belittle others, nor to make them feel bad. It is not hard to be a decent person in a game.

Interesting you bring up WoW, but completely forget Overwatch, which Blizzard does take toxicity in very seriously.

And people that are "grown up" and mature typically don't feel the need to resort to name calling and insults. They just use the tools that are provided to handle a problem.

Friendly reminder that people that get banned in league is 1% of the player base. There in the minority.

The only PC game that does not have a report function that I have regularly played is TF2.

Your the one letting the status or outcome of a video game get you emotionally unhinged. and verbally abusive look in the mirror your the one that needs help.

Your the one that needs to grow up ,mature and learn how to be a mature respectful and civilized player even if other players are not.

There is never any justification to criticize another player even in ranked . If you are taking it uber serious and stressing out about the outcome your status that is your problem .You have no right to rant about any personal grievance in the game.

here ill even give you your first lesson on how you should act I hope its not above your comprehension level,

An unknown % of players out of the literally millions that play get though the entire season dealing with exactly the same solo que, same intentionally disruptive rule breaking players , the same non meta picks the same everything and still never get a warning and still get their champ/ ward skins at the end of the season.

If a player can't emotionally handle losing a game, even one lost by legitimate rule breakers, and chooses not to mute the verbally abusive ones without responding that is the fault of the player not the game , not riot , not ranked .. the player.

No matter what game mode your in certain things just are not allowed

If you are getting stressed out over a video game even ranked that is your issue according to Riot you have no right to bring into into the game in any ways shape or forum

In other words you still according to Riots behavioral policy you have no right to

  • be verbally abusive/ verbally offesive
  • react or "defend yourself" against others being verbally abusive
  • chastise those legitimately breaking the rules
  • Chastise those who you don't agree with
  • complain about anything
  • Rant about any personal grievance in the game
  • giving any type of negative commentary regarding whats happening in the game
  • Doing any of the above can lead to various punishments including permaban's
  • So yes if someone is saying the most vile insults to you ever spoken,
  • the proper action according to Riot is mute and report without any response including " report x or i'm muting you"

here is the the lesson yo should take away form this on the proper way to conduct yourself in a game

If any amount of people are breaking every game play rule in the book

The proper action according to Riot is ignore them don't respond with anything -- even "report x"

Neither of those rules are "impossible" or "high standard"

yes you might lose a match and some lP if in ranked its still not a sersiose life or death situation if you do.

and really---

Which is the best coarse of action if you don't want to be punished given Riots current policy?

1 Not reacting or responding in any way shape or form and losing a match and some Lp ...which really has no "real value" and can eventually be replaced

2 Reacting, "defending yourself", "sarcastic " responses, chastising rule breakers or simply just complaining about think you don't like in game and risking losing your entire account that does have monetary value? As I said before the safest option is in other words if you cant say anything positive ..without being sarcastic about it .. don't say anything at all.

If you pick option 2 its inevitable that you will eventually end up permabanned

Also if you are having such an adverse reaction If you don't like the solo que environment for any reason as much as you are describing in your posts then stop playing in solo que and just play with pre-made teams you will probably have a much less stressful and more rewarding experience

IB4 I cant play with premades don't have enough contacts .....that is not an excuse to act against Riots code of behavioral conduct.

really just consider this ...in the end you reap what you sow and "blame " for that is solely on the person you see in the mirror

  • if you want a "serious team"
  • if you want team that plays like their lives depend on it .
  • If you want to play meta
  • if you want to have a coordinated team that communicates the way a pre made or pro team does.

Again simple solution

stop playing with random people if it s stressing you out

If you go into solo que expecting that it will have the same cohesiveness and team play as a premade there is your problem

dont listen to chermog. he thinks the world is this magical place where people get along with everyone and dont swear between friends even. I miss the old days of gaming when ppl got banned for something of actualy worth like cheating.

The world became too soft i think you are right and the bans are stupid after all if you harrass someone he can just mute you so i never saw the problem like the guy that gets harrased cant even press mute or something this comment will get a lot of downvotes and i think you know why don't try to change the world its poopy already i tried to tell riot the ban system for toxic is dumb but no one will listen when someone flames me i mute its very simple no point in actually talk to him suppose to happen to all but ofc world is too soft btw banning is another way of riot making money
