How to Rank from Bronze - Challenger

When you want to go beyond your division, there are very very basic things you have to learn to climb, think of each rank as a child.

1st is learning to crawl.. Bronze: Learn how to survive. (When to back out of a fight, when to disengage from a trade, how to trade with minimal damage, warding.) Just focus on surviving and keeping your CS at a decent level

2nd. Learn to walk Silver: Learn how to watch your minimap and KEEP TRACK OF THE ENEMY JUNGLER. Watch where he's ganking, and watch where he runs after his gank. If he's top, and you see him run towards baron rather than returning to the tribush, theres a good chance he's coming to gank mid. Keep your wards up, and watch your minimap.

3rd. Learning to talk Gold: This is where you really want to start coordinating with your teammates better, setting up plays, roaming, helping your jungler gank lanes.

4th. Learning to run Platinum: By now you should be able to independently Keep track of the enemy jungler, actively watching your minimap, warding, CSing, and playing relatively smart. Platinum is all about mechanical knowledge, at this level you should have a set of 3-5 champs that you have familiarized yourself pretty well with (damn near mastered atleast 1 or 2)

5th. Fast forward to 13y/o Diamond: Here you are, the over confident teen thinking you rule the world as a diamond player flaming people for simple mistakes, toxicity is rampant. By this phase you should be working on improving your over all game play and objective focus, Understanding Wave and lane manipulation, baiting, Optimizing your wave clear for lane and jungle camps. You should be counting the Junglers CS to keep track of his jungle camps (Blue jungle is 5 cs, Red jungle is 17) so If you see the enemy JG with 10cs, then 3 min later he has 32, he just cleared all his camps so he's either going to gank, or he's going to counter JG.

6th. Here you are you SOB you're in college. Master: By this phase of your LoL Career, you are as the title says, a master of the game. You understand all aspects of the game, you understand the mechanics, Cooldown Times, and ulti timers of damn near every champ in the game. You're brain subconsciously keeps track of Jungle camp timers, you don't even notice yourself looking at the Minimap anymore, but you're damn well keeping track of that thing like its plastered dead center of your screen with 300% zoom. Master phase is what separates the naturally gifted and the super tryhards. If you want to get passed this point you better be amped up on 3 redbulls per games and have a reaction time of 0.02 seconds with atleast 85% accuracy with your skillshots.

7th. Holy fk, You're a full blown Adult now. Captain Independent, making $200,000 a year off of Twitch streaming Challenger: Honestly, this is the 0.000001% of the entire LoL population, You're literally 200/80,000,000. you're the best of the best, and can probably go 200-0 in Bronze before minute 15.

You forgot to add Cardboard 7 to the list. Where you take a dose of reality and realize that you're 25, working a dead end job, with almost no money and that you're still bronze

Good advice, but they changed jungle CS so it's a flat 4 per camp, regardless of how many individual monsters there are (ex. blue buff counts as 4 and krugs also count as 4)

You should be counting the Junglers CS to keep track of his jungle camps (Blue jungle is 5 cs, Red jungle is 17)

OUTDATED Each full camp now gives +4 cs, which means no matter how many animals you kill, you get 4 cs for entire camp.

You forgot the most important advice. People really need to learn to set up minions to take objectives.

Be me-

  • Is in bronze
  • understands how everything SHOULD work.
  • has had coaching from both a plat level player, and a diamond level player.
  • was told by them that it's my teams keeping me from climbing.
  • tried to call shots and help my team get ahead.
  • always gets ahead in lane and/or gets my teams lanes ahead.
  • teams always make stupid calls, and always has trash supports, and can't get my jungler to listen and make good plays.
  • Maintains an above 50% win rate.
  • still can't climb out of bronze.
  • thought about making a new account and just trying to get placed higher on that one, but don't wanna lose all the money spent on this one.
