I wasn't sure to post it on Memes & Games, but since both the content and the point are about the actual skarner gameplay, i chose to post it here.

Meme aside, what happened? Well for starter, skarner is still mostly valued for his ult, especially in pro play (i'm happy to see him finally getting there), and now it even got a gimmicky mechanic that pratically bottlenecks you in the jungle, by keeping most of skarner's power in contestable zones fixed in the jungle, which leads to the next point.

Premiere objective controller? Most junglers got as much objective control, if not more, and these spires only make you fall further behind the moment you cannot keep control of them.

These are the main points i'd like to discuss.

Skarner should have his own trinket, so that he can place his own spires.

Placed spires will act like wards until their expiration time, be able to be controlled by either team, and give him his aoe buff when owned (3 seconds after placing, can't just have him place one mid fight and instawin). This allows Skarner to strategically play in either lanes or jungle.

After this change, adjust numbers as necessary.

Also, potentially allowing his spires to have a limited time stealth detection after placement, or giving him the option for red ward effect with a max of 2 spires, green ward with the max of 3 spires, or blue ward with 2 spire max.

I hope my post ages well, I just posted a story emotionally talking about what someone did to me, talked about stuff I have been through with them. Posted it on Reddit aswell, so far it hasn't gotten any notices on here.

Many people have already pointed out that there are better ways to do zone control. Trundle is W is BASICALLY Skarner spire passive: Increased attack and move speed, but replace mana regen with health regen instead...

Temporary bonus, but Trundle gets to place it down. What good are the spires again?

Also, why can't we get any recognition from Riot no matter how many reasonable non-rage threads we put up? Have the boards failed us so badly that Riot REALLY doesn't read them... like EVER? or do they really just not like us/skarner?
