SHE IS A MAGE (not an assasin) with the multiple uptate she is now a mage!

[sg-ahri-3] Assasin? [sg-ahri-2] Mage?

Both. She's been more assassin in the past, but generally she's walking the line between the two like leblanc.

It's because Ahri is multiple things (intentionally).

Her kit does a bit of everything so it's hard for them to balance her towards any specific class. She's supposed to be a Battle Mage (low range spell mage) but she re-positions and locks down targets like a disruptor, has the mobility of an assassin, and she can lock down and blow up targets like a burst mage.

She's pretty fine as is. Why rework her? She has nothing that's point and click, her damage is good but nothing special, especially considering it's not very long range and her charm can be blocked by creeps. Her mobility is her strongest asset, and I believe the only reason she's considered an assassin at all.

The correct answer is: NEITHER

Her damage was gutted too much to be an assassin anymore. Her ranges were gutted too much to be a mage.

She's stuck in an awkward place because Rito doesn't want to let her be an assassin, but aren't willing to give her the tools to function as a mage. So she's a generalist, she does many things, but not particularly well at any of them.

If Rito would just man up and revert patch 5.2, Ahri would be in a much healthier state both in identity and balance. Unfortunately, Rito are lying hypocrites that are afraid of admitting their own mistakes and will never actually go through with reverts. In spite of their constant false claims that they wouldn't hesitate to revert failures.

She's neither. She doesn't have the range to perform as a mage, but she doesn't have the damage to be an assassin either. What's left is a Garen with 9 tails, a champ that doesn't work outside of low elo.

Rito knows this and blatantly refuse to fix her or rather just fucking revert patch 5.1, just like players have been saying since before it went Live. She doesn't need a piece--of-shit MS mechanic on Q, which neither adds anything to her, nor makes thematic sense. She needs the damage amp that was LITERALLY ripped off of her and handed over to Fizz. Rito didn't even fucking take anything away from Fizz, they just gave him a free amp with no tradeoffs. The champ they themselves call the **TROLL **Pole.

The answer to your question is yes.

Ahri doesnt have to be one or the other. Then again, she doesnt specialize in anything. She is a jack of all trades, but not a master in one. I could imagine balancing her would be hard. If there was anything that riot would change at the moment, it would definitely be her charm and orb of deception. Other than that, I dont know Ahri's true purpose in the game other than being a safe pick for mid lane. With a multitude of nerfs that recently occured, I think seeing Ahri in LCS is not very surprising.

I thought she was cancer. Having the best of both worlds.
