Teambuilder should have a reminder when queueing up for jungle...

...to take smite as a summoner spell.

Like, if you try to queue up with Flash/Heal or whatever by accident, then a window should pop up saying "Smite is usually recommended as a summoner spell for anyone in the Jungle role! Would you like to switch your summoner spells before searching?"

And then if you say no, then another window pops up saying "Are you really sure?"

And then if you say no, it deletes your system32 folder. (But no, not really. The point is to help people who forget such an essential summoner spell, not to hurt people who want to try something new.)

Let's not protect people against their own mistakes in a competitive game. If YOU screw up, you deserve to lose.

But what if they are playing on a mac? What can you do to stop THEM?

Sure! then add "Wait, you didn't take flash. You must have made an error." too.

I just think it should make you reselect summoner spells every time you switch champions.

The same could be said for ANY role when using Team Builder. I've seen so many supports take TP and that is just so bad for a support to have.

Really though it could have something that comes up with recommended spells for each role, like these which are basically the best for their roles

TOP: summoner 12 summoner 4 summoner 6 MID: summoner 14 summoner 4 ADC: summoner 7 summoner 21 summoner 4 SUPPORT: summoner 14 summoner 3 summoner 4 JUNGLE: summoner 11 summoner 14 summoner 4

but of course there are some cases where people use different things.

I agree with this. I had recently played some games one I had a ww who didn't take smite and the same thing happened with an Irelia. It really takes away from the team when the jungler doesn't take smite, since I doubt others are going to take it or have some form of objective control. Apart from that the jungler is hit the hardest because they can't buy the jungle items or get smite buffs and it'll take a toll on their clear times.

Yes, this would be a great feature, especially since it resets your summoner spells to last-played if the TB room disbands and then is reformed... and since as a jungler you CANNOT buy jungle items without it in-game.

not picking smite/checking your masteries etc before the game starts is player error...get gud I suppose and stop screwing it up? summoner 11

YES! I'm a support main, so I occasionally forget to switch to smite when I feel like practicing jungle. And I don't always notice when somebody forgot smite - I've had my entire team ready up and THEN notice jungle doesn't have smite - even the jungler! Considering the new jungle is basically impossible for many champions (and extremely challenging for others) to do without smite, and therefor the cheap jungle item, it's really not optional.

The better fix to this would be to save your damn summoners when you set them instead of after a completed game. It does for every other queue, so why is TB different?

What about people who use successful off-meta builds? This post is very black and white.

Shogunai3/23/2015, 12:06:57 PM1 votes

For a jungle main, that's never an issue not only due to presets but when jungling you already know that smite that is required. Not only that smite is so important to jungling now that along is a good reason not to forget it but I understand things happen. However, no point in turning Team Builder into Windows Vista.

"Are you sure you want to select this?" "Are you really sure?"

I agree, I hate it when people say "It's just a game." That we know of course but its a game that takes atleast 20minutes of your time. 20minutes I could of used to do something else. People like me who work 40-50hours a week and have duties on the side don't always have the chance to sit down and play for 12hours all the time. A 20minute troll game might be fun to some people but not to many.

I made a post similar to this but it was after i had played a game and forgot smite. It was me complaining about not being able to buy the jungle item and why it couldn't be changed but it got a lot of hate.

HorusEye3/24/2015, 12:24:44 AM1 votes

You do know the word "Ready" has a meaning to this, right? It's most likely your own fault for forgetting to set your runes/spells/masteries right before finding a match.

BottleCapster3/24/2015, 2:00:57 AM1 votes

I wholeheartedly agree this needs to go in, especially since its not even possible to BUY jungle items without Smite anymore. Pretty core essential for that role there.

I agree. Thankfully, people sometimes watch out for this stuff. Not often though. Have you tried to jungle with flash and teleport? It doesn't work!

having smite for a jungler role in lets same team builder should be required ive seen so many junglers just for get to take it and it ruins everyone game
