his lore is lost, his kit is lost to the times, his visuals are lost. this champion as a whole is just lost. i remember there being plans for a update with the diver update but thats not happening now so, i guess he is just lost.
I'm not gonna lie, after seeing the stuff they've done to other champions: I'm completely happy they haven't touch him and pray to God they never will.
I wish he gets a VGU soon but they need to keep the ult. His ult is fucking amazing. One of the most unique abilities in league.
Actually Nocturne has been seen in the new lore already. He was the Nightmare Creature from the tomb in Garen and Lux's shared story. The one using a young mage boy and unleashing living nightmares on the kid's village that kept coming and coming to the point where Garen and his Dauntless Vanguard were on the verge of death had Lux not been able to resist Nocturne and blast him away. Nocturne is now even more like Freddy Kruger than he was before.

Thanks community ill wait another year for my pick to become competitive.
Instead of the diver update, they plan to do mini reworks like they did with Rek'Sai over time.
Next one coming is Xin Zhao and then Aatrox, if I remember correctly. After them, I guess it is possible that he will get some work done as well.
Hes getting one during the diver update along with Xin and maybe Irelia.
He has potential for a full VGU but since he is still playable, viable and not TOTALLY of course with visuals he won't be touched for the next years I guess.
Also thanks to Kayne a huge part of possible abilities have been put into him. I even was about to write sth about Noc in a more or less bigger thread, about that. Guess I'll put that up in a few days.
What is lost about him? He actually has been hovering between 49-52% for about 2 years now, so outside of simply needing a Visual update he seems fine.
Noc is a good champ as he is. He's just a little slow till 6. But once he hits that level he can take over lanes and help struggling champs pick up a quick kill or two. He's just one of those champs that are very strong mid game. Some of the newer items like duskblade work wonders in his kit.
