Teemo jungler just makes much more sense then lane Teemo . idk what could be changed but you can figure something out riot.

Give him a jungle-specific buff, that allows him to clear/sustain better. I think there's this diamond/master/challenger Teemo Jungle main out there, Teemo just struggles with clears and sustain, iirc.

Thryale4 votes

I think he just needs a new passive. His current one is so niche it's hard to take advantage of in most situations.

Or if a buff to his current passive is more your flavor, what about allowing teemo to instantly stealth for 1-2 secs upon entering the brush? (X sec cd so he can't juke for days)

If you combined that and allowed teemo's Q to apply his E I think he'd be in a good spot.

MrBuffington1 votes

I think his passive is pretty cool for the guerilla warfare aspect; if they do give him a change, it should be around that aspect of his play, imo. I like your second suggestion

DireXcon2 votes

He can clear the jungle without potions if did correctly.

MrBuffington2 votes

It's more about making it easier and more worthwhile than whether or not he can do it.

DireXcon1 votes

Dude, is easy, you just have to kite the creeps and they can't even touch you

#It's more about making it easier and more worthwhile than whether or not he can do it.

EDIT: In case you don't understand my point the second time: Nidalee and Gragas were fully capable junglers before their jungle buffs; they could clear (yes, I've done it), but the reason they became popular junglers is the buffs that made their jungling more worthwhile (namely by improving their clear). Their kit didn't change besides that, they still offered the same things they do now, but the buffs allowed them to make full use of their kits. Nidalee got faster clear speeds, it allowed her to provide early pressure, which is pretty much her main strength as a jungler. Gragas got the damage cap on his W raised, as well as indirect buffs with Cinderhulk; it allows him to make better use of the CC his kit offers, as well as his solid base damages.

Yes, you can clear jungle with Teemo right now (there's a dude in Diamond or something that only plays Teemo jungle). I've done clears with Lucian and Soraka, it doesn't make them good junglers. The difference is that Teemo actually has a better reason for taking him into the jungle; his shrooms give him great map control, as well as his speed buff, and he's a strong dualist vs. AA dependent champions because of his blind, just to name a few. If Teemo gets buffs that directly improve his ability to jungle or enhance his ability to affect the game and provide the advantages his kit already provides from the jungle, he'll become more of a legitimate jungler than just a niche pick.

He has a poison, blind, and a mushroom explosion with poision, and he has suprise poison passive, and a more poison to poison dart ability, he also has a speedy ability to get him to land more poison to the poison dart and blinds with the extra poison on the poison dart.

so what about the poison.

So what you're saying is increase the duration of his blind against monsters (sustain) and make his poison stack, but only against monsters (clear speed).

i agree

I did a similar post yesterday Hahaha !!!

FOr those who say Teemo can already jungle, try to find a team that would allow it. Its impossible...

If they do boost his damage against monsters and make a Dark Horse : Teemo jungle post, peopel would finally open their eyes!

I also though of something very simple as a boost: When his passive is actyive, he get a bonus of AS when unstealthed. When he does, his damage to Monsters should increase as well. That change alone would make it easier to jungle with him at lower levels.

If they could make his blind double his duration against monsters, it would be awesome too and be more then enough I think.

SpecterVonBaren2 votes

He'd probably need his ult to be available at level 1 (But with reduced power of course). The two unique things Teemo provides as a jungler is the potential for counter jungling with his passive and blind and objective control and traps with his shrooms. But as we know, counterjungling is a risky and opportunistic kind of thing, so his only reliable and interesting thing is his shrooms which he doesn't get until level six and he's bad at ganking so all he's doing for most of the early game is farming.

Denims Wrath6661 votes

omg level 1 teemo ult... even if it did SHIT damage, it would revolutionize toplane

ActuallyArrow1 votes

He can be played jungle (though its eh), but yeah, if they did a bit of adjusting to hit stats he might be a viable jungler (I haven't taken him jungle, so I dunno if he is viable in his current state).

His passive, W, Q, and R are all great for jungle purposes.

Need to camp a lane? Stand in it. Want to gank? Run like a yordle on drugs. Want to surprise someone? Blind them! Need wards? No worries, you not only are one but you get an unlimited amount of free wards. (Of course this is compensated with the fact that they explode when enemies walk on them, but even that is perfectly fine!) And his E keeps champs that are fleeing a gank under pressure even while running.

Risk of Fate1 votes

I took him to jungle and it's really a rough start, I'd say run some lifesteal, attack speed, and attack damage runes if you're going to do it (I was running my adcarry ones in place which has mana, a bit of ad for last hits)

DireXcon1 votes

You have to kite the creeps

Gati1 votes

Maybe...

  1. Make his E do 1.5x dmg to monsters?
  2. Q's blind duration is doubled vs large monsters
  3. R's CD is halfed and mana is refunded if he gets a monster kill with it
SecretAgentHulk1 votes
  1. He is healed for a percentage of E's poison damage. (Maybe 100/80/60/40/20? 75/60/45/30/15? He doesn't need sustain once he can build a little AP?)

If this were to happen and teemo became a good jungler he would need to have his shrooms limited more harshly so it isn't literally everywhere on the map. If it was limited to a max of say 10/13/16 shrooms out for each level of his ult that would allow him a good amount of vision control but not over bearing vision control. Do not underestimate the power of vision control.

As it stands it is his clear time and survivability that keep him from being a good jungler and he would need other thigns toned down a bit if he were to either get sustain or clear speed.

SecretAgentHulk1 votes

Shrooms should not be limited except in URF. (Besides, if I math correctly, he can only have a max of 22 or 23 at a time anyways.)That said, if he can get jungle buffs, I would probably be OK with losing the vision shrooms currently give.

No, he needs more. 200 / 300 / 400 would do nicely lol.

aaronconlin1 votes

He struggles early game but once he gets a few items his clears are a breeze and he's a great counter-jungler and provides a ton of vision all over the map.

Teridax681 votes

I feel Teemo needs a gameplay change, since his laning pattern is fairly non-interactive due to his Q poke, and hopefully when he gets updated he'll also be better optimized towards jungling. Literally every single ability in his kit could help him jungle (his blind prevents damage from large monsters, his damage is heavily autoattack-based, which is always helpful for a jungler, his W helps him roam and his R is best used when roaming), but for some reason he's not nearly as popular a jungler as he could be. Perhaps jungle AP itemization might have something to do with it (it's not in the best state), but otherwise just a few tweaks to his kit could hopefully let him clear a lot better.

Focus Teemo1 votes

Teemo doesn't have abilities that help him clear quickly or sustain. On top of that his ganks are below average, albeit sometimes crafty and humorous. His counter jungling is actually impressive, and his vision control game is incredible due to his mushrooms. However if Teemo was to become an actual jungler he would need something to clear more effectively.

almost a 3 second blind, which means an auto attacker can't life steal, and can't deal damage, the only two things they're good at.

SpecterVonBaren5 votes

Good luck getting to the carry to do that. And most other auto attackers can just nuke him down once the blind ends like Tryn, Yi, and (Late game) Nasus.

Thryale4 votes

or before the blind even takes effect. I literally got killed from 3 aa's in the time it took for the blind to travel then apply (remember, the first aa after the dart hits is not affected by blind)

EDIT: not to mention, most adc's nowadays have enough dmg loaded into their kits that they can just use a spell rotation while they wait for the blind to wear off. (looking at you cait and yer stupid long cast time Q)

I think i saw solwolf do an old jungle teemo. He waited invisible by the enemy's red and stole it. I don't need an invisible asshole...correction another invisible asshole waiting to kill me at red.

LeeDark1 votes

Foxdrop just did a PBE jungle Teemo to show off the new skin (which is awesome). Teemo's big problem is that he basically CAN'T gank without red buff. He brings almost nothing to the table in map pressure. His one advantage is being able to put mushrooms EVERYWHERE instead of just top lane.

CaptainT1 votes

He can already jungle (his first clear is slow but once he gets going he can clear in seconds)

Occams Raiser1 votes

Teemo's blind needs to work on auto lock abilities. Then blind would be effective. besides the adc, everyone is a caster ad or ap. He should stop skill shots or something.... damn. Or better yet, he could get his shrooms at level one like some champs have their ult.

DireXcon1 votes

Teemo CAN jungle, I did it several times, he can clear both sides of the jungle at the first clear without recalling, you do that by kiteing and blinding the creeps over and over, his clear speed is moderate-fast but the main benefit of teemo jungle is his ability to protect lanes with mushrooms or to infestate the enemy jungle and counter jungle him thanks to the passive.

The most important thing while jungling with Teemo is to be as annoying as possible to the enemy team and make sure to spam your laugh!

AxlStream1 votes

You'd have to remake his ulti. The ammount of damage they deal with only Liandry's is ridiculous and it gives him way too much map control since the removal of oracles elixir. Dont tell me the lense and a pink ward are suitable replacements. Avoid some, hit 30 more...

magic pole1 votes

he already can jungle...I picked this, my team thought I was trolling. Ended up carrying.

The magus enchant is perfect also...sure no mana regen, but the 20% cdr is huge...decent ap on it too.

The only hard part is your first clear...it's tricky until maybe until level 4 or 5, then it's easy. Start E and level up E first. You can put 2 points in Q before you finish E if you want some extra burst. No need to take W until level 4.

Gonna need AS or AD marks, AP quints (1 armor quint if you're really struggling with the first clear), armor yellow obviously, and any blues you want (scaling ap are nice). pick up both martial and arcane mastery (+4 ad/+6 ap). The extra early AD helps your first clear.

Lastly, the tricky part is kiting the jungle creeps. Auto-attack as you walk them backwards until they reach the reset range, let them reset 4-5 times as you continue to AA. (I haven't tested whether they fully reset on the 5th, or after the 5th soft reset, so I usually just let them soft reset 3-4 times to be safe). Blind the large creep after you're done with the soft resets and tank it until you kill it.

Clear the jungle until your first back a few times in a custom game to get the hang of this...it's not hard once you've done it a few times. Lastly, I like to start golems for the stun. Really helps you avoid some extra damage on the first clear. That way you're also at red, so you can take the crab after golems at 2:25 and then smite will be up for red if you really need the extra hp.

You may have to invest in more potions than usual on your first 2 backs, but after that you won't be taking much damage at all.

Shrooms are perfect for wards and map control. Don't forget to spam /laugh Teemo Teemo Teemo Teemo Teemo Teemo Teemo Teemo Teemo Teemo Teemo Teemo Teemo Teemo Teemo

What about giving E and active... I'm thinking similar to Twitch's E in a way, an enemy inflicted with Teemo's poison within range will be targeted, it releases a poison cloud that applies Teemo's poison to nearby enemies and increases the damage of his poison by 20%. Keep in mind this adds another mana cost onto Teemo, making it harder for his mana sustain. You could probably reduce the base power of the E's passive to compensate for the added damage with the active.

WildJester1 votes

Teemo jg is already a thing its not hard to pull off

FakeGravity1 votes

i think it will go like this

passive now works on bushes instead of staying iddle like a teemo ward, teemo stay invisible for one 1 (up to 2 by late game) after leaving the bush

lets make his Q no longer blind instead impair the vision radius of the target like graves smoke screen of course reducing the duration (now his Q is helpful against mages and casters atleat)

leave W and E rather the same

R now last alot less but teemo can throw the mushroom further (to scout bushes) if it hits and enemie it explode dealing minimal damage but slowing, if it dont it start charging, after 2-3 seconds it turns invisible and work like it usually do but also give more vision than currently does (atleast enough to see the full tribush)

this support a scouting gameplay where teemo can counter jungle, scout bushes for the enemie jungler and if he get spoted a simple Q mushroom throw and he is out of there

GildedCreed1 votes

I've tried him in a custom, and it can be done. He takes a beating like all other off-meta or recently coming back into play Junglers. You will want to start Q and go Gromp -> Blue -> Red, and then back for Blue Smite (you don't need Purple Smite) and build like you would Twitch jungle would, but in AP form. So like item 3085 and this thing item 3285 . You only need around 1 to 2 points into W to move through the jungle, and you'll need the chilling to slow unless you rush Crystal Scepter and give up Attack Speed and some AoE but then you'll need to land Q's to even slow anything.

As for maxing, it can go whatever, but I would max E if you're fighting a tank jungler (or heavy tank comp, like a Shen top and Leo supp with a JG Jarvan) and max Q for everything else (though it can go either way against a Lee Sin, since he could shield off your poison or he might rush more MR to reduce the damage on your Q).
